Healthfun

A little Django-webapplication, collecting generic health data like weight and blood pressure to have a better overview.

Customizing

You will ne to check several places for customizing the application. Here are the most important:

• Update the templates stored unter templates/
• Check configuration file at healthfun/settings.py

i18n/l10n or update of translations

Healthfun is fully enabled to be translated into different lanaguages. Based on user'S browsers settings the language used in user interface can be localized.

To add a new translation run

$ django-admin.py makemessages -l xx

where you replace xx with your locale -- e.g. de. You can use the same command to update an already existing. Having this done, you will find updated catalog under local/xx/LC_MESSAGES/django.po, which you might like to open in any editor like Geany or poedit to update translations. j

After this has been done you should compile the messages:

$ python manage.py compilemessages

and restart your application.

Graphs for pressure

To better visualize progress over time we need a graph

Interface for communication with mobile device

Create a interface to be able to communicate with e.g. mobile devices -- JSON / SOAP / Rest / * ?

Export data into different file formats

Data needs to be exported to e.g. csv, ods and xls format

Graphs for weight

To better visualize progress over time we need a graph

Store BMI directly to weight object into database

Most likely the bmi for a weight value will not change, so this can be stored directly into database.

Clean up URL

Some cleaning up of the URLs is needed.

Insert a function to bulk update BMI stored with #14

Once the BMI is inside the database, it might will need some update. So we need a function which is recalculating a number of of values once e.g. height has be changed.

Improve inserting data, so you can input only some values

As follow up to #2, improve the web form to make it possible to insert e.g. only pressure oder weight data

Setup a fancy design for page

It's all about optics. We need to setup a nice design for pages.

Add a login section for each user

Having a person is having a login to enter its data, we need a login to do so. As well as looking at the data.

Checking for pep-8 compliance

Crate an add/update-form for user profile data

For inserting data like height we need forms to enable update and adding these.

Extend default user to include some more detailed data

Extend the default user so we can also store e.g. height and age (birthyear?) which can be interesting for listing data (e.g. BMI)

Add and setup tests
