Jump right into linux without the hassle of researching a distro! This webapp will narrow down the selection, allowing you to find the perfect distro for you

Motivations

The goal of this project is to simplify the process of a new user choosing to install linux. At the moment, you have to go research through articles, which include some distros that you may just not want, wasting time and energy. Short of reducing the number of distros there are out there, which would hurt the community, we need to make this process easier. Hence, this project exists.

We openly accept pull requests for bug fixes and reviewing distros. For instructions see the contributor guidelines file. If you don't want to write code or contribute data, but still want to help out, you can sponsor me to cover the costs of the domain.

distros's Issues

Avoid Recommending Manjaro

I think Manjaro is generally a bad choice, mostly due to the update woes and bad experience in GNOME.

If you want to offer an Arch distribution I would recommend EndeavourOS
