maccard's Issues

Electron apps - Master issue list

Applications based on Electron will likely not show in the windowlist/applist.
Apps like VSCode and more may be affected by this.

Maccard is unsigned

Maccard is currently not signed, meaning macOS will complain about the app being from an 'unknown developer'.
I may or may not be able to fix this in the future, but for now, it may require a rightclick+’Open’ to run the app for the first time.

Media Controls

The current media controls are static placeholders, and currently function as media keys (specifically, F7-F9).
The idea will be to include song, album, and artist info, as well as album art and volume controls.

Can't close Electron apps

Trying to quit an Electron apps doesn't work. I'm aware of #4, but this might be an extension of that issue.

OS: Ventura 13.3
Macbook Air 2015 (Intel)

Trash status

No status appears, or the wrong status shows (i.e., 'Full' when there's no items in the trash, or 'Empty' when there's items in the trash)

Some application icons not showing / error icon

When launching some applications, icons can appear as either default / blank or with a warning symbol. While the custom icons provided in Maccard are great, I think an option could be added to default to the icons provided by the application or Maccard could fallback to those icons if there's no custom icon from it.

System Events uses excess CPU

If I enable System Events for the app in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Automation > Maccard Beta > System Events, System Events in Activity Monitor's CPU tab begins always using 35-45% CPU, which seems like a lot. If I disable it, however, only Finder appears as one of the apps.

Permissions

Maccard may (or may not) request a handful of permissions at first launch, and occasionally throughout use.
Todo: Make it get requesting perms out of the way on initial launch

Note: Perms might be auto-granted in 10.14?
