Have you ever checked NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day and thought, "Wow, that picture is so cool, I wish I could see it everyday without having to visit the website." Well, thanks to Space News, now you can! Download this Chrome browser extension and upload it to your browser to see the APOD, along with a brief explanation written by a professional astronomer, with a single click!

Instructions

1. Download the project files above as a zip file and unzip on your computer.

   

2. Choose a location for the file where it won't be disturbed. If you move it after you load the files to Chrome, it'll break!

3. In your browser, click the three vertical dots in the top right corner. Then click Extensions > Manage Extensions.

   

4. Click the "Load Unpacked" button.

   

5. Select the unzipped file.

   

6. You should see the extension now under All Extensions

   

7. Go back to the top right corner and click on the puzzle piece. Then pin the extension so it is easily accessible from the top nav of your browser.

   

8. Now click the planet icon and read about all about NASA's APOD!
