Is there a forum or other discussion area?

I found someone selling a copy of this this board on ebay and it's something that I wanted to do myself (glad to see you're using KiCad... I can contribute pull requests ;) ). The A500++ is all well and good but it uses the exact same through hole parts as the original. I'd like to see how people building this are getting on as I love that it has a load of the modern mods built right in.

Is there a dev thread on EAB? or a discord server such as Official Commodore Amiga, Retro Man Cave, Amiga Bill's?

A question about fitting the board

Hello,

I received a fully built, working SMD500+ from my friend and trying to build myself a modern A500+ with it. The problem is, the board does not fit into the original metal shielding of A500+. Even without the shielding, some of the screw holes does not align with the bottom plastic part (Original A500+). What could be the problem?

JP98 RAS joined won't work

Hi, first of all great work! Love the project

Just thought I'd let you know that recently I was making a Megachip clone for the A500 and found that joining the RAS lines just resulted in a green screen. I had to make use of an AND gate to get this working - an 74AHC1G08 in my case.

Presumably this is because the RAS lines are not open-collector and fight each other when you simply join them together

gerber errors

I found some traces that seem to be incorrect, here is a picture, there may be more.

also just above E103 there appears to be a trace that is connected to ground plane, but doesn't look intentional

Suggestion: CPLD RGBtoHDMI

In the Rev 0.2 preview PDF there's a section for including RGBtoHDMI on the board. Can I suggest using the CPLD version as a base as it has more dynamic handling of the clock signal and essentially eliminates sparklies that are often seen with the 74 logic version. The amiga version is an adaptation of the original CPLD board but needs less supporting electronics. Just the CPLD and a few decoupling caps.
