###Oracle JET Course

Small samples that, step-by-step, build up a thorough understanding of the concepts underpinning Oracle JET.

The samples will each form the basis of a chapter or exercise in a book and/or course and/or a MOOC on Oracle JET.

The idea is to start from scratch, without any libraries, then include Require.js, then Knockout.js, then Require Text, etc, eventually replacing everything with Oracle JET.

By the end, the participant should have all the knowledge they need to build applications with Oracle JET and know where to go and how to solve problems/questions they may encounter.

The intended audience is anyone with basic JavaScript knowledge who wants to create enterprise/business JavaScript applications for the browser on the desktop and/or mobile devices.

Each part can take from 5 to 10 minutes to explain/do for, e.g., a MOOC.

ojetcourse's Issues

Not all libraries downloaded when using "oraclejet": "latest" dependency

Hi,

In bower.json the only dependency is "oraclejet": "latest".
In Netbeans when I run the bower install by right clicking on the project, it downloads only the oraclejet library. Not the other ones such as require, knockout, etc. I have attached a pic of the resulting project tree after bower install.

Follow bower naming conventions in the bower.json

Hi Geertjan,

I have noticed that bower.json files in this repo don't adhere to bower.json specification - https://github.com/bower/spec/blob/master/json.md

sample bower.json in this repo - name is not slug style

The name of the package as stored in the registry.

1. Must be unique.
2. Should be slug style for simplicity, consistency and compatibility. Example: unicorn-cake
3. Lowercase, a-z, can contain digits, 0-9, can contain dash or dot but not start/end with them.
4. Consecutive dashes or dots not allowed.
5. 50 characters or less. 

A warning will be generated when bower install is run - bower/bower#2242

For newbies - this is confusing because - during first run of bower install they ignore the warning as it gets buried in install log. Subsequent bower install they will see the warning statement alone as dependencies are already installed. Many confuse this warning with error.

Modify dependency to es6-promise

In main.js, the dep. to es6-promise should be libs/es6-promise/es6-promise.min and not 'libs/es6-promise/promise.min' in the current release (seen in Part-012, not checked elsewhere).
