playerraiders's Issues

Raiders showing default skins when other skins are specified

Hey, so I have a bunch of new skins and names I added, but it looks like oftentimes the mod pulls textures to use out of the .jar instead of using my custom skins. And can you add an example to your wiki/mod curse page?

Edit: I just found this in your comments section "I'll get a tutorial eventually, but basically. Anything under 'assets/skins/filename.png' = 'raiders:skins/filename' Just make sure they are all lowercase, no spaces, no crazy special characters."

Is that right? Lowercase is required in the .png file name? Maybe that's what was messing the skins up...

Brute's Sound Issue

The Brute's chuckling sound is panned to the left side despite reorientation.

Static Mobs

so when the raiders spawn we got a lot on the server that just stand still. You can attack them once then they take no damage

this happens quite a lot. Ive had to disable the Witchs too because they just sit there and you cant attack them (dont know if this is intentional) (you also cant /Kill them)

Forge 2707
Raiders 3.0.5 (1.12)

Multiple requests/quality of life improvements.

1: A discord server would be helpful

2: Config option to disable raiders from attacking passive mobs

3: More clear default config options

# Weight of Raiders spawning [range: 1 ~ 1000, default: 10]
I:SpawnWeight=20

# Changes dungeon spawner weight for raiders. Example is zombies are 200, where skeletons are 100. [range: 1 ~ 1000, default: 200]
I:"Mob Spawner Weight"=20

these are pretty unclear as to actual usable statistics eg 1/100? 200%? as well as

# Meant for Twitch/Other sub whitelist. # One whitelist link per line. Example: http://whitelist.twitchapps.com/list.php?id=12345 [default: ] [default: ]
S:WhiteLists <
 >

not too sure what that entails

4: Config option for chance of getting entire outfit or just parts of the outfit
for example
"name": "Leather Armor Set",
"head": "minecraft:leather_helmet",
"body": "minecraft:leather_chestplate",
"legs": "minecraft:leather_leggings",
"feet": "minecraft:leather_boots",
"head_nbt": {},
"body_nbt": {},
"legs_nbt": {},
"feet_nbt": {},
"always spawn full set": false,
"chance of spawning with full set 25%"
"weight": 25
},

5:remove junk from offhand default config and add torch and shield
"OffHand": [
{
"itemID": "minecraft:torch",
"nbt": {},
"weight": 10
},
{
"itemID": "minecraft:shield",
"nbt": {},
"weight": 10
}
],

6: re order the config based on importance

I:"Raid Day Difficulty Progression"=5

is randomly in the middle of the file when it should be at the top seeing on how it is one of the most important settings their are a few more like this and its pretty anoying trying to find stuff
the entire ##########################################################################################################

progessive difficulty

#--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------#

You can set what the raiders get on each Difficulty Increase

##########################################################################################################
should be at the top

7:general relook at the default settings they are pretty weird

8:spellchecking the config

sorry if this was a bit long or if it sounds really demanding, but i think if you had a look at some of these suggestions your mods usability would improve a ton.

Buff Notification Bug

I am having a wierd issue rn.
The Notification that Raiders got buffed is basically not appearing.

Recreation:

1.Open Chat
2.Wait until the Day Raiders should get buffed
3.Run Command /gamestage add VAR_NAME VAR_STAGE (at least in my case was it that command) [VAR_NAME stand for Player's Name and VAR_STAGE for any Stage]

What I expect to happen:

Normal Behaviour / Buff Notification appearing and disappearing.

What happens:

The Notification trying to appear but unable to. + Sound Spam since it tries it permanently.

Possible Cause:

Since I have the full GameStages set, and I think it is OreStages it is reloading the world and/or resources after running the command.

I do want to note that this may not be the cause, but since it happens in combination with it and never before I can only assume this.

Summoned Raiders with NBT can't open doors

Raiders created with the summon command can't open doors if they have their NBT data changed with the command. eg /summon raiders:raider ~ ~ ~ {PersistenceRequired:1,faction:2,Owner:Notch}

I compared the data of a raider created with a spawn egg with one created with the summon command, and their data seem to be identical, but the command summoned one can't use doors for some reason.

This seems to apply to all raider mob types.

Errored Mobspawner

sometimes dungeon spawner are broken. the issue is that the entity id passed to the spawner is "raiders:raiders" instead of "raiders:raider" so it doesnt work.

Game breaking Crash during melee with Zygon

Im in the process of making a new modpack and welp. I used the communicator to call down rebels to tet the skins i gave them aswell as their combat capability against some Zygons from the Dalek Mod. ranged fighting worked until the zygon got close enough for melee damage to the raider.

https://pastebin.com/9pVL5m2m

I did some testign to see if Zygons alone would break the map upon melee with me and no crash. Only when the melee a raider does the crash happen. Seeing as the first line in the crash report mentions Raiders I post here first.

My current mod list looks like this:

world load crash

i believe i have 3 skins that cause Raiders to fail loading the world
they were downloaded from http://minecraft.tools/en/skin.php

I changed the entries in the raiders_skins file to enabled=false and the game crashed
I removed the entries from the raiders_skins file and the game crashed
I had to remove the skins from the assets/skins folder and the game loaded

crash report https://pastebin.com/5PR1u55d

Forge 2707
Raiders 3.0.5 (1.12)

Raiders are attacking zombie and skeleton horses

Could you add a blacklist for certain passives? The zombie and skeleton horses are both part of the passive category. And I have a mod that spawns them as mounts during the night, and the raiders are interfering with them. Thanks for a great mod!

Random crash out of nowhere: ticking player/entity

Minecraft: 1.12.2
Forge: 2635
Raiders: 3.0.1

My game randomly crashes when I'm just in my inventory, so I assume this happened when a raider first spawned. I get a ticking entity error. Other mob mods I have that would spawn along with raiders normally include emberrootzoo, spectrite, and also mob stages for tweaking (I have not yet used the mod, so it shouldn't affect anything on its own).

crash report: here

Names since deleted from raider_skins.json still load and apply to raiders

I've practically wiped the raider_skins.json of the pack in users it has listed. Some of the skins still show up. It's spotty as only a couple of skins still slip through the cracks, such as Notch, Steve, jsl7, Funwayguy, vash505, and Kashdeya. If they're hard coded, I'll cut my losses and ignore it, but I'd like to make sure I'm not missing anything before I give up.

Did you add mob heads as helmets? Trying to figure out where this is coming from...

Hey, upgraded to Raiders v3.0.9 (1.12.2) and suddenly mobs are spawning with player heads and other mob heads (sort of similar to Headcrumbs, yuck)... Is that Raiders? I ask because I added a few new mods into my pack, but none of them have a config for mobs to don heads as helmets...

Basically, I'm trying to use your mod as a utility. I've created custom skins and names, so essentially, high-powered assassins spawn occasionally and track the player down. Let me know when you have time. Thanks so much!

Mobs always hostile

Looks like something slipped thur after the setting was set to turn off hostile to all raiders.

Raider setting block on fire fails with exception -generates massive log file

I have been running an invasion 1.0.5 server for 3 hours with two players and found that the folder had grown to 8GB in that time. It turns out that all the increase in size was down to one 8GB log file filled with:

[11:50:35] [Server thread/DEBUG] [playerraiders/]: Raider couldn't set block on fire...java.lang.NullPointerException

Analysing the first million lines of the log file:

PS C:\Games\Minecraft\Invasion\Backups\Invasion 1.0.5 Server\logs> (Get-Content .\fml-server-latest.log -Head 1000000 | select-string -pattern "Raider could").length
988668

so 98.8% of the first million lines is that exception.

Server is running on Windows 10 with java 1.8.0_121

Server is being launched with:

java -Xmx5G -Xms1G -jar forge-1.10.2-12.18.3.2254-universal.jar nogui

I haven't seen any raiders setting things on fire that I can be certain of. There have been a few trees nearby that have been set on fire, but we didn't see how or why. We are up to about day 10. Only noticeable issues were occasional stuttering (with no discernible cause), but only a few times over the 3 hours. These could quite easily have been due writing many GB of logs suddenly, but I don't know if the times match up.

Don't attack creepers option // mob attack blacklist

Could you make a blacklist option for mobs to make them not attack them causing unnessessary destruction in random locations. People might not want to see the landscape of bombarded Berlin in WW2 around them

Rangers Aggro Against Themselves

When a Ranger gets hit by its own arrow, it will get "aggro" against itself, and get stuck firing arrows at its own feet. This can happen when the arrow is deflected by a shield at close range, and in some other scenarios. They will also aggro against their allies if hit by friendly fire, which may or may not be intended.

Raiders health is the same regardless of class

I have basic health for raiders in config set to 25. Normals raiders spawn with 25/25 health, but brutes, for example, have 25/56. For some reason they spawn with only half health. The others, forgot their class names, may have 25/12.

[1.12] Unable to Tweak Raiders equipment

Each time you modify the equipment files of the raiders, the files will be regenerated if you restart the game. that makes i currently impossible to tweak them.

Forge: 2739
Raiders: 3.0.6

Add an epic event (feature request)

Hello,
You have already made droppods support for playrs. So, what's about enemies?
I suggest you an invasion event. For a few minutes droppods will fall near players and spawn all kinds of raidres and TNT (configurable). Why TNT? Obviously, to get players in the bunkers. Also, you can add a spaceship on the sky (picture at the top of the skybox) and timer with remaining time with boss gui.

P.S. if the player is under blocks, TNT can fall exactly on the player.

customSkin config not displaying skins

I'm not sure if it is a bug or I'm just failing to properly modify the config file, but I cannot for the life of me get the customSkin module of raider_skins to work for me.

Here is an image of the raider_skins JSON file:
raiders_skins

And here are the three skins I am trying to implement (subject to change):
raider
mutant
cultist

And finally a game screenshot:
2019-06-16_19 03 00

I should note that I am using a bunch of mods as well. I did see that there was a previous issue regarding the Cyberware mod, which is installed. Besides the Cyberzombies from that mod, though, no other mods add their own custom mobs (although Lycanite's Mobs is a likely future addition). Thanks in advance.

Constantly receiving Raider death messages

In the process of developing a modpack and I would like to use Raiders, but I am currently receiving CONSTANT death messages about the raiders who are dying from attacking vanilla mobs. I have tried turning off death messages (/gamerule showDeathMessages false) with no effect. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

Head drop and Display name

Im only assuming that your mod allows for player head drops, because I killed a Raider and got a head drop. this is the problem...

To avoid confusion between Raider kills and player kills I added the word 'Raider' to the names in the config file. This means that when the head drops its trying to download the head for 'Raider Crimson_Fluff' instead of Gamertag 'Crimson_Fluff'

Could you add a displayname or a gamertag line to the config files? actually thinking about it download the head using the player skin name? cos that should always match the gamertag I would have thought?

also maybe cut down the spam in chat?

Thanks, loving the Idea of this mod.

Archer Spawners Don't Work

Mob Spawners for Archers (raiders:ranger) never spawn anything. I tested all the other mobs, and they work fine.

Disable Overworld Spawning (feature request)

I am looking for something to spice up the end, but I already have the nether and overworld in a place I am happy with (or close to). I would love to make the end overran with mobs from this mod as the end in my current pack is booooring.

I was wondering if you had the time and it wasnt a huge pain in the butt, to offer an option to disable overworld spawning. Possibly even as far as a dimension whitelist. Personally I would use this exclusively in the end dimension currently, but a whitelist might be a useful feature to others in the future or myself for modded dims.

It is no worries if it doesn't happen. It is an amazing mod nonetheless and I will be trying to work it in my pack regardless of response. Thank you for your time in reading this :)

SERUM D BUG PLEASE FIX!

so my issue is pretty unique and werid but let me explain so theres this mod called raiders this is in 1.12.2 btw on a server i made and in this mod apparently had an item called serum d that gave any player who consumed the item increased their max health to 45 constant strength (can one shot anything with just their fist) and slowness. and so the issue i have is that i removed the mod from both the client and server but the player still has the effects even after death can please someone help me find some way to fix this?

Constant repeating noise from notification of increased raider difficulty

minecraft: 1.12.2
forge: 2631
raiders: 3.0.2
dynamic surroundings: 3.4.9.10

Very annoying and loud noise occurs when the raider difficulty of the raiders increase. The noise would repeat indefinitely and would not stop unless I would open a GUI such as my inventory. I am pretty sure that this has to do with dynamic surroundings and the reverb that is added, because when I would stop the noise, there would be a trail of repeating reverb left behind fading away.

here is an image of what I was able to see right after closing a GUI, the message would repeat very fast:

here is a video depicting of what I was able to capture of the issue: here, warning, audio is loud!

Custom skins binded to a raider class?

Hi!
First of all - Thanks for the great mod!~

I wonder if it's possible to do somehow in current version or implement on update the way to set which skins can be used on different raider types?
For example, skin "Character_01" can be used by "Brute", and "Character_02" or "Character_03" can be weighted and chosen only by "Archer" class, and so on.

Cheers!

Setting raider level not having any effect

I run a public Invasion server over at invasion.chilliserver.com and as I am sure you know the Players raiders mod is in that pack.
Version: PlayerRaiders-1.10.2-1.3.16.jar
Forge: forge-1.10.2-12.18.3.2281-universal.jar
Sponge: spongeforge-1.10.2-2281-5.2.0-BETA-2328.jar
As new players arrive on the server its very useful to be able to turn the difficulty level of raiders down to give them a chance.
So I run /pr setlevel 0 or /pr setlevel 1
This seems to lower thier health but for some reason they have a lot of speed and hit like steam trains.
Here is my config https://pastebin.com/q2jKS1th

Also is it usual that if I do /time set day it resets the day count to zero

I assuming the raider settings get written to some file somewhere can you tell me where this happens so I can maybe do some manual edit, obviously I will create backups etc.

Thanks for reading

[Feature Request] Game Stages support for difficulty progression

Having the game's difficulty increase as time passes on a server seems like a really bad idea . . . new players who join shouldn't be facing mobs with diamond level gear while they are still punching their first tree. Not only is that unfair, it gives a huge advantage to players who join the game on day one.

This problem goes away completely if I can match raider difficulty to the game stages a player has unlocked in my pack . . . I have no problem giving Raiders flux charged swords and power armor when they are facing a player who could/should have equivalent protection.

Could I please have game stages support? It would make a huge difference! :)

Crash due to failing to do a cast when the raider check if it should steal.

Hi,
It seems like an easy fix, basically here and maybe in other places there isn't a check to see if that item it's actually an ItemArmor before doing the casting:

else if (itemarmor.damageReduceAmount == ((ItemArmor)itemarmor1.getItem()).damageReduceAmount)

In my case there was an ItemSkull on the raider (not sure if that's normal) that when the raider tried to check if it should steal, it crashed the server with this error:

Raid difficulty issues

We set the I:"Raid Day Difficulty Progression"=100 but when logging in at day 40 it was already on Raid difficulty 5.

Also noticed if we ran the /time set day command it goes right back to day 0
