Genesis .Net

An exploritory orchestration-based code generation tool. Data from pretty much any source that .Net is able to consume can be used to generate a variety of boilerplate code files or execute arbitrary code.

First run

• The first thing that needs to happen is for the cli to scan for executors and make them available to Genesis. Do this by simply typing scan. (this is scriptable)

  • You should see what Executors were found in the output.
  • They're addressable by their green text.

• Forgive the short docs... but

  • exec 'something in green text'

Executors needed!

Genesis needs more Executors!

Any type of executor that outputs anything useful would be awesome. Maybe F# code output? I'm sure someone still uses VB. Maybe some inputs that read WSDL, YAML, reflection over a type... anything really.

Generator output doesn't convert from sourcetype (yet)

Just leaving this here so I don't forget. I keep meaning to but....

All of the things from /solatticus/genesis

CMD: config command doesn’t handle spaces within strings well

If you’re setting a config value that has something like
config mssql ConnectionString=“the string”

When you show the config for mssql it stops off at the space.

The value ends up “the”, and not “the string”

Compilers package breaks 'dotnet build'

Fails in main Genesis project due to an exception in the .csproj file?!

CMD: blank line in status list

Guessing this is because of the DefaultCommand, which probably needs excluded from the status output.
