Make 'No' the default button in confirmation dialogs

The dialog "Are you sure to start a new scan" should have 'No' as default (hot-key: Enter)

Display picture location in MapKit instead of EXIF GPS coordinates

Make groups expandable/collapsable

Add possibility to hide some groups with collapsing them.

Add item to context menu: jump to selection

Content shouldn't auto jump to selection when app is still scanning and the content is changing.
This feature should be available through a context menu instead.

Feature Request: include video files

It took me quite some time to find an app exactly like this. I'm glad I found it. Thank you for the hard work you put into this.

I just wanted to ask how difficult it would be to include video files as well? Right now, I organize all photos, taken with several different devices, but when I'm done, I still have to sort all video files manually. These are mp4 (etc.) files that were taken with the same camera/mobile phone.

Removing photos is not refreshing photo count in window titlebar

Make app dependent on ‘Full Disk Access’ instead of requesting access through NSOpenDialog

Make different frames for pictures with date not from EXIF

Date not taken from EXIF are just predictions - not the date when picture was taken.
Because of this the picture may be labeled with wrong date, this should be indicated.

This should be optional, by default OFF but configurable.

Stop scan

Actually there's no way to stop a running scan.
A 'Stop' button should be added to the titlebar right next to the spinning bar.

'Cmd' + multiselection should add new selection to existing one

"Drop here" screen do not hide when app cannot parse dropped file

1. Have a scan (some pictures displayed in the app)
2. Drop a wrong file onto the application window ("Drop here" appears) This should be a corrupted pms file.
3. An error is displayed but the drop screen stays onscreen

Implement Save/SaveAs

Current 'Save' functionality is in fact 'Save As'.

• Rename 'Save' to 'Save As'
• Add 'Save' and shade/unshade based on state (if listing if from scan or from loaded json)

Display number of pictures in title even when they were loaded from a saved scan

Number of pictures is displayed in titlebar after each scan but it isn't after loading a saved scan.

Add support for locales

App is not localisable at the moment :(

Implement possibility for sending feedback

Save loaded scan before exit if that scan changed (picture deleted)

When picture was deleted from loaded scan and it wasn't saved since then, a warning should be displayed for the user before terminating the app ("Do you want to save the scan before terminating?" "Yes" "No")

Scan predefined directories

Scan button in main application should have a context menu. A long click should open it with these options:

• Open Messages attachments preselected for scanning
• Open Mail attachments preselected for scanning

where all these options would open the OpenDialog with preselected directories for specific applicaions data.

Selecting photos by multiselection (rectangle) should select photos in live (not on mouse release)

Add option for exporting search (save photos in hierarchy)

Save/Load scan

Sometimes scan takes quite long to finish. There should be an option to save scans and load them later. This will save a lot of time when pictures were not moved.

Remove (or ignore) images that were moved to another folder

I often drag a number of sequential images out of PhotoMiner into a separate folder (such as 10 images of event A or 5 images of event B).

The problem is this:

• The images remain visible in PhotoMiner
• I cannot drag/move any other images, if one of those moved-away images happens to be selected

I'm not sure whether this is a feature or a bug though :) Could you give me a hint?

I'd expect images that were dragged out to be hidden from the collection just as deleting images makes them disappear.

PS: As a side note, I often find myself clicking on one image, holding shift, and clicking on a second image, wanting to select all images in between (just like Finder does). But only the two individual images get selected.

Preferences can be accessed from menu or by pressing Cmd+,
There's no need to have a button in titlebar

Display exif data in a side panel

Pictures which have EXIF available, should have it available in a side panel. This panel should have a show/hide button in titlebar.

Make Save/Load working also without exception entitlements

Loading a saved scan needs temporary entitlements for giving access to image files stored in pms.
This will not be allowed by Apple.

We need other solution, like:

• Save also path to scanned directory
• When loading, display an OpenDialog with that path also with some text that this step is needed in order to allow access to your scan
• After user clicks OK, access is allowed, we can load the scan and images will be displayed correctly
