[Feature Request] Right click <video> nodes and stream through HLS with relevant fetch options (referer)

My most common use case for your addon is to get a distraction free video stream viewing experience.

This usually means I open up devtools, figure out the m3u8 file collating the video fragments, and then open that m3u8 link in a new tab.

Sometimes, this won't work: usually because the "referer" option is empty this way.

Is there a way this addon can streamline that process?

I liked your extension, and figured it lacks Mpeg-DASH support also. Since this is an open source project I took the liberty of forking your project and adding the necessary changes myself. I also added Widevine DRM support. Changes are here: https://github.com/Palethorn/chrome-hls/commits/master. If you wish, I can create a pull request. If not, and you want this extension to remain pure HLS, no harm done.

The latest version on AMO is 0.8.2, but the latest in this repo is 0.8.10. Please upload the latest version to AMO.

I was wondering whether it would make sense to rely on https://www.jsdelivr.com/package/npm/hls.js to host hls.min.js

you could list all versions using
https://data.jsdelivr.com/v1/package/npm/hls.js

and then use
https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/hls.js@version/dist/hls.min.js
for example : https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/[email protected]/dist/hls.min.js

No captions button

When playing subtitled HLS streams with 0.7.3 (first hlsjs supporting them), only streams with "FORCED=YES" in their manifest will show captions. Any available non-forced subtitles for other languages cannot be selected by using a captions button in the control bar.

Should the extension check if the URL ends with `.m3u8`?

Thanks for the extension, it's awesome! :) I've been using it on Firefox and noticed that it tries to play anything that ends with "m3u8", including non-videos such as https://github.com/grafov/m3u8 and https://www.npmjs.com/package/m3u8.

Should it check for ".m3u8" (including the dot) instead of just "m3u8"?
