Common header across all pages (homepage tbc)

Home / Professional / Art

With some styling (dark? underline?) to highlight currently selected page.

In time I might need to make my Professional / Art pages more complex. How should I add freelance work/personal projects? If I added that to the top I'd quite like to make it easy to see I've been at NS/ONS and easy to get to that part of the portfolio - although actually that suffers from the classic UX problem of giving too much exploration rather than taking people down clear path. I have to pick something, maybe still NS/ONS content, to go top, but that messes with my chronological structure. Maybe I can still show a specific path? If I did something like this I would like to add path/route elements from the same theme as the homepage dots.

I'd like to have consistency on the art page even if it's a little different. If I add 'series' then either way I will have to pick something that starts at the top. Or I could make everything constantly moving which is a bit disorientating. Attention drawn to buttons to look at other content... If I have light / dark series they might lend themselves to a certain visual style though.

Contact details

Add either a contact page or a footer.

Leaning towards footer as there is no obvious place to add a link to a contact page on the homepage. Unless I added it as a footer. The only benefit to that is so that the contact details are more obvious on the homepage.

I guess the ideal then would be a footer than stays up on the screen at all times, small enough that it's not annoying.

Apparently having an email address up is fine. I would add Linkedin/Twitter links alongside. Could add something like linktree, only really useful if I have more places I want to direct people to, NS author page, other author pages.
