How do you delete tables ? If you are using the client SDK's API for deleting tables, you can delete tables correctly, but if you are issuing DROP TABLE directly, currently the metadata deletion may not be working properly.

Ha! you are right, we are creating tables using the API but dropping them
using a DROP TABLE statement. Let me try to change that - hopefully there
wasn't any specific reason to do it this way.

yes. switching over to use the client API (vs. a drop table statement)
