Minus Egirls

A browser extension that removes egirls from your Twitter feed. With multiple filter strength levels, you can choose how much you want to filter out. The idea was inspired by egirl-blocker.

Tech Stack

• Web Extension Framework (WXT) powered by Vite
• Manifest Version 3 (MV3) in TypeScript
• Svelte
• Tailwind CSS with DaisyUI
• PNPM

Build Instructions

1. Install dependencies

  pnpm install
  # prepare wxt
  pnpm postinstall

2. Run the extension

• Run a development command

  # For chrome
  pnpm dev
  # For firefox
  pnpm dev:firefox

4. Build the extension

• Run the build command

  # Build for chrome
  pnpm build
  # Build for firefox
  pnpm build:firefox

• This will create a new build the .output folder of the root directory
• The .output folder can contain multiple builds for different browsers (e.g. .output/chrome-mv3)

5. Miscellaneous

• Svelte checks:

  pnpm check
