Google Season of Docs

This repository contains useful templates and lists for the Google Season of Docs program.

For projects, organizations, and technical writers

Organizations and projects wishing to connect with technical writers, and technical writers who want to express an interest in working with organizations and projects for the 2024 Google Season of Docs can add their information to the lists in the 2024-participants folder.

Templates and checklists

Sample templates for the Google Season of Docs application and reporting stages, and sample templates and checklists for documentation projects, will be added to the templates folder as they become available.

We welcome contributions of documentation-related templates and checklists. Please read the contributing.md file for more information about contributing. We expect all contributors to follow our project Code of Conduct.

How do we Identify Accepted Organizations?

Hi, I am an aspiring GSoD'21 intern.
I have gone through the list of Interested organizations and saw a few that I would really love to work with.
However, after reaching out to them, I get a response that they were not accepted for this year's GSoD. I've gotten that same response from 2 organizations I reached out to, and a friend got the same response from another organization.

I previously thought organizations on this list were accepted organizations, but apparently they aren't. How do we identify organizations that were accepted for this year's GSoD?

remote rejected: push declined due to email privacy restrictions

Description:

Don't know if this is from side but an issue when I was trying to push the edits to GitHub. The push denied.

Contributing to Google Season Of Docs

Hi There!I want to contribute to Google Season of Docs How can I contribute to it?
I am interested in technical writing and also had written some technical guide for some projects.

The Readme For participants should specify the agreement

if we mention it in the readme it will help resolving so many errors the first timers are getting while raising pull requests.

Table format issue for 2023 participants file

The table format in the "https://github.com/google/season-of-docs/blob/main/2023-participants/interested-technical-writers.md" file from the name "Utibo Etim" down to "Olasunkanmi Fafowora" (mine) doesn't display correctly on the table.

ExpressLRS accidentally removed from the list of participating organizations

@xmulligan and @rominaminav You accidentally removed ExpressLRS from the list (added by @JyeSmith in #486).
