Error: Failed to apply catalog: undefined method `split' for :gdns_resource_record_set:Symbol

I get this error when attempting to apply a manifest with a gdns_resource_record_set:

Error: Failed to apply catalog: undefined method split' for :gdns_resource_record_set:Symbol`

This is the code:

  gdns_managed_zone { 'example':
    ensure      => present,
    name        => 'example',
    dns_name    => 'example.com.',
    description => '',
    project     => 'example-dns',
    credential  => 'example',
  }

  gdns_resource_record_set { 'foo.example.com.':
    ensure       => present,
    managed_zone => 'example',
    type         => 'CNAME',
    target       => 'staging.example.com.',
    project      => 'example-dns',
    credential   => 'example',
  }

Puppet version: 4.10.0
Module version: 0.2.0

The record is successfully created if it doesn't exist, but I get this error whether or not the record exists.
