Getting Started

Follow these steps to set up the project locally on your machine.

Prerequisites

• Node.js
• npm

Clone the Repository

git clone https://github.com/Goutam-04/onlineIDE.git
cd onlineIDE

Frontend Setup

1. Install the necessary packages:

npm install

2. Configure environment variables:*

mv .env.local.example .env.example

3. Start the frontend development server:

npm run dev

Backend Setup

1. Navigate to the server directory:

cd server

2. Install the necessary packages:

npm install

3. Start the backend server:

node index.js

Note for Windows Users

This project works seamlessly on macOS and Linux. However, if you're using Windows, you might encounter difficulties with the node-pty module. Please refer to the node-pty documentation for installation guidance. If you need further assistance, feel free to contact me on LinkedIn.
