Password authentication

What about customizations?

Hi, thank you for the appender.

What about:

1. to limit max items in the log list? i.e. max=1000 and auto-delete if more than max: ltrim 0 max
2. to limit time to live? i.e. list TTL= 24 hrs etc.
3. to separate log lists by day: log_2015_11_16, log_2015_11_17 etc.

Possible pull request to solve issues.

Hey. I'm sorry for opening an issue, but I couldn't find a better way to contact you.
I come from Coolblue, a company where we are interested in using this library to start logging to a redis instance.
However, we have found some issues that prevent us from using it, most notably the fact that adding an item to a redis instance without a valid connection will cause an uncaught exception.

Would you be available to review a pull request in the near future?

We would also like to address the following, if it's OK with you:

• Upgrade the whole project to .NET version 4.5
• Upgrading the NuGet package dependencies
• Making the timeout value configurable

Please let us know if you are OK with this and willing to review our contribution. We would very much like to add our effort to this project, keeping it functional, open and available to everyone.
