grails-json-apis's Issues

Domain classes mapped as 'embedded' are not deep-serialized

When serializing a domain class instance into JSON the properties mapped as 'embedded' are represented as references with null ids. For instance, a domain type attribute annotated for JSON serialization :

@JsonApi('admin')
Location location

and mapped as embedded in the attribute's class:

static embedded = ['location']

produces the following JSON output for a Location instance with non-null attributes:

"location":{"id":null}, ...

instead of serializing the instance's attributes, something like:

"location":{"latitude":"123", "longitude":"321"}

Don't render the id property for embedded objects

When serializing a domain class with embedded properties, the embedded properties get rendered with "id":null which is totally unnecessary since an embedded property is stored together with its parent and in a sense shares that id.

It does not seem simple to detect whether a serialized object is being serialized standalone or as an embedded part of another object, however. Perhaps it would be a perfectly valid solution to simply never render the id property when it is null..
