owncloud_for_filelink's Issues

undefined&download when password is enforced

When "enforce password protection
to force users to set a password on all public share links" is enabled I get "undefined&download" instead of a valid link.

A better error message would be nice or maybe it is possible to set a password!?

Setup problem

After a first install, I cancelled the configuration, and now it always says me "An error occured while setting up the account". I tried a re-installation. How can I reset the plugin ?

no alt text defined for the owncloud logo.

In running mail testing on my emails, I received notice that the owncloud logo does not have an alt text attribute in the html. Though minor, this can have an effect on an emails spam score. would it be possible to plug in alt="Cloud Logo" or something simple to appease the email gods?

Feature Request: Set Expiration Date

Hello, nice addon!
My feature Request is:
I would like to set an expiration date for the sharing links generated from this addon.
I know there is a function in owncloud to set all sharing links with an expiration date, but thats not really what i'm looking for.

A little note in the mail text should also be given to the receiver of the mail.
Thanks ;-)

Document was not found on the Server - Download link is wrong

owncloud for filelink 1.2 generates a link like the following:

http://***/owncloud/index.php/s/WWHVhZCSAHhtglg&download

if i try to open it owncloud brings up an error that the document wasnt found on the server

but if i just open

http://***/owncloud/index.php/s/WWHVhZCSAHhtglg

it shows the correct download page with a download link like that

http://***/owncloud/index.php/s/WWHVhZCSAHhtglg/download

im using thunderbird 31.7.0 (german)

Files are not being attached, error message

When I try to attach a file with Filelink, the file is being uploaded to ownCloud, but when uploading is finished, Thunderbird gives an error message and doesn´t send the mail.
When I check ownCloud, the file has been uploaded correctly.

The error message is saying "Beim Datenaustausch mit ownCloud trat ein unbekannter Fehler auf" (German for something like: "There is an unknown error ocurring when sharing data with ownCloud").

I use ownCloud 7.0.1, Thunderbird 31.5 and ownCloud for Filelink 1.1

As far as I know all settings in ownCloud are ok. (allow apps to use API "yes", allow users to share links "yes", allow public upload "yes" etc.)
Also the setup of the Thunderbird app should be ok (correct server, username and password), because the file is in ownCloud after Filelink uploaded it.

Does anyone know a reason for this and how to solve this problem?

filelink owncloud error message

Include Nextcloud

Many people are switching to Nextcloud. "Nextcloud" is not mentioned in your README. I suggest to add Nextcloud even to the title to also be found by all the "Switchers".

Possibility to configure the link adress

I think to the following use-case :

  1. During Filelink first configuration, I have set the owncloud server address (ex : myAddress.com/owncloud)
  2. I want the link communicated to my contact another DNS address (ex : otherAddress.net/owncloud)

Set password per Upload

I would really appreciate it, if there would be an option to set a password, or not, for every upload and not only global for every upload. Would this be possible?

Broken Download Link

After upload of an attached file to my shared hoster owncloud installation I get instead of a download link only "ownCloud: undefined&download". I use https://sslsites.de/cloud.mydomain.com for ssl. Maybe this is the reason for the problem?

I use TB 31.2.0 and Owncloud 7.0.2 and owncloud_for_filelink 1.1

Publish on addons.mozilla.org

Wouldn’t it be great if this could be installed from within Thunderbird?

In the current README steps 1a and 1b mention "Download the provided .xpi release" which I don't think this project has at the moment.

NextCloud 11.0.1 Error

When trying to setup the connection up in Thunderbird (45.5.1), it says something like An Error ocurred without more Details.

Looking at the webserver's log where the nextcloud resides, it shows:

Code 412: Method: POST //ocs/v1.php/person/check?format=json

Other clients show this log entry when they succeed:

Code: 200 Method: GET /ocs/v2.php/apps/notifications/api/v2/notifications

Note the difference in the initial // of the path and the versin of the API (v1 vs. v2)

Can this be fixed by deleting the / here?

Lack of feedback when user omits protocol in setup

In the "Set up filelink" window, if you omit the protocol from the text box for the owncloud server, the "Set up account" button has no effect, which is confusing for the user.

It would be better if the software tried connecting by prepending "http://", then "https://", and then if neither works show an error dialog indicating as much.

At a minimum, some user feedback should be given.

TB claims insufficient space

TB preferences show a wrong free disk space. In reality, I have about 34G free on the server:

andreas@srv1:~$ df -h .
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/xvda1 197G 154G 34G 83% /

However, TB shows a ridiculously large free amount:

However, when trying to link a file (of ~35M), I get the message that uploading the file would exceed my quota:

error uploading file

I successfully configured the plugin and everything looks good. When I actually upload a file in the mail composer I get an error. In my ownCloud folder there is a file with the correct filename (plus timestamp in its name) but it seems corrupted somehow as I cannot open it.

authorisation resolved

I download the fork and installed it, but need to autorarise before I can use the filelink services Does someone has the same problem?
This is the error:
thunder

Oké
I found the problem, I used example.com/owncloud/ instead of example.com/owncloud

Uncommon port

I am using non-standard port for my ownCloud server.

The upload function works, but the links placed inside the outgoing mails lack the port!!!

Should be:

https://sub.domain.tld:XXXXX/....

Incorrectly is:

https://sub.domain.tld/....

Your plugin should have a configuration page to set any custom values.

Thank you!

change password of the download page

I would like to have the ability to change everytime the password where the file is stored when I use filelink.

It's possible to implement a popup with a random password or a request of a new password (and the possibility to paste inside the mail) every time filelink is used?

Thank you

complains about upload limit

When I want to upload something, the plugin complains about owncloud's upload limit, but the limit is large enough and I can upload the same file to oc manually. I think the plugin even does not access the webserver but complaining about the limit.

Hangs forever "checking authorization"

Owncloud server works, you can login from the web nicely
Self signed certificate exception has now been set up in thunderbird
Trying to set up the extension hangs forever.

Username with @ sign not accepted

Owncloud for Filelink 1.3
OwnCloud 7.0.7
Thunderbird 38.4.0 (Mac)

When I try to configure my owncloud server I always get "An error occured while setting up the account".

I suspect this is related to my username which contains an @ sign, since if I take it out, I do get a valid password request dialog. Replacing the @ by the URL-encoded version (%40) brings up the password dialog but without a successful login.

Authentication fails

Hello,

on first set up, dialog crashed after entering password. In the thunderbird settings, it asks for autoristation but the button does not help. I deleted all related keys in Ubuntus password storage, but it does not ask for a password anymore.

I use an uncommon port and a self-signed certificate.

Owncloud 8.1.3
Thunderbird 38.3.0
Ubuntu 14.4.2 64bit

Settings for sharing via link and force password are set in owncloud.

SSL Problems

SSL isn't supported, when trying to use HTTPS it will give an authentication error. HTTP works fine though. Major security flaw as we only ever use HTTPS for our owncloud.

Check if remote folder exists

When the storageFolder does not exist no error is reported. In the management form a quota of 0 is a hint ... but a warning about the folder would be nice.

General Error on setup account

Hi,
this extension looks pretty interesting, but unfortunatly I can't make any progress on setting it up for my own OC instance. I know this looks like a support request, but as others might have same problems due to the to general "an error occured" message, I like to encourage that you add more specific messages to make it easier to analyze the problem :)

So I tried to connect via:
server-url https://www.mydomain/owncloud/ username myuser password mypass remotepath /
I also tried also without https (I'm on a shared hoster and use the main cert issued just for the host) and the (original) hostname. Also I tried different remotepaths, but nothing worked :-/

Problem with change of owncloud server URL / Credentials

When changing the user's password on the owncloud server, the add-on becomes unusable. It will not prompt you for a new password, it will symply hang with authentication disables. There does not seem to be a documented way to fix this. I was able to do it by changing the password in the Thunderbird's stored password list, however, that's awkward and should not be required. In addition, assuming the URL of the owncloud server changes, there is no way at all to reset it

can't use self signed certificate

Hi,

I'm using a self signed certificate, can you please do something ?

Horodatage : 15/07/2015 18:11:04
Erreur : ...r:443 utilise un certificat de sécurité invalide.
Le certificat n'est pas sûr car l'autorité délivrant le certificat est inconnue.
(Code d'erreur : sec_error_unknown_issuer)

thanks for this great plugin idea, i'll be please to help

Support multiple ownCloud installations

I have my personal ownCloud instance, and one at work.

I'd like to add both instances to Thunderbird - but after adding one, I cannot add another ownCloud instance.
