Test Issue

Knapp Apprentice Training Software Report Technology Change

This document explains the change of the PDF report generation from jaspersoft to our new technology in the Knapp Apprentice Training Software. The change affects all views that have the option for a PDF report.

Report Button

The report button is located in the toolbar of each view. It allows the user to generate a PDF report of the current table content. The report button should be disabled if the table is empty, just like the excel export button. This prevents the user from generating empty reports.

Report Popup

When the user clicks on the enabled report button, a popup will appear with the following checkboxes:

• PDF: This option will generate a PDF report of the current table content and open it in a new tab or window.
• HTML: This option will generate an HTML report of the current table content and open it in a new tab or window.
• Save in downloads: This option will save the generated reports in the downloads folder of the user's device.

The user can select one or more options by checking the corresponding checkboxes.
Once finished the user may klicks on the Ok button to start the generation.
The user can also close the popup by clicking on the Cancel button.

Wochen-Unterricht View

The Wochen-Unterricht view is a special case that needs an argument passed to the DatabaseExport class. For now add the popup to the view as well.
The special functionality will be implemented in due future.
