What is the current status of this ansible role?

The last commit was just a few days ago. And also the restic version used is not quite the same as the current Release.

How does it look like? Is it still maintained here?

Installed restic cannot run without sudo

Hello,

As far as I could understand, when I use this role to install restic, I can only run in with sudo. Do you confirm? Or am I doing something wrong?

If this is so, would it be possible to adapt the role to make restic available to any user?
Otherwise I won't be able to use it 😞 .

'dict object' has no attribute 'legacy_list_objects'

Hi,

with the new version 1.3.0, I had to define legacy_list_objects in restic_repos, otherwise I get a

"msg": "AnsibleUndefinedVariable: 'dict object' has no attribute 'legacy_list_objects'

in the deploy wrapper scripts task when deploying the Playbook.

Run pre and post script before and after restic

More often than not, before running restic, some services/containers/etc must be stopped, to make sure that the data being backed up will be consistent.

It would be interesting if, instead of calling restic directly, cronwould call a smart wrapper script which would be able to run pre and post tasks that would respectively stop and restart services using the data being backed up.
