Project: Immersive Lobby Experience Based on Khalila and Dimna

Project Overview

The Immersive Lobby Experience is designed to create an inspirational and serene space that introduces visitors to the enchanting world of Khalila and Dimna through the lens of Islamic architectural beauty. This lobby will serve as a welcoming and reflective space, setting the tone for a deeper exploration of these timeless tales.

Aim

• Design a culturally rich environment: Combining art and architecture to evoke the beauty of Islamic designs.
• Create a serene and inspiring atmosphere: Utilizing natural lighting, vibrant colors, and intricate patterns to provide a tranquil space.
• Target Users: Visitors to cultural centers, museums, libraries, and educational institutions interested in literature, history, and art.

Tone and Atmosphere

The lobby aims to evoke a sense of timeless wisdom and cultural richness, encouraging visitors to pause and reflect. The serene, reflective, and inspiring tone is enhanced by:

• Natural Light: Directional light mixed with stained glass to create patterns on the floor.
• Architectural Elements: Arches, domes, and geometric symmetry inspired by traditional Islamic designs.
• Textures and Colors: Intricate tile work, smooth stucco, carved wood panels, and a harmonious color palette.

Location & Setting

The lobby will integrate seamlessly with cultural centers, museums, and educational institutions, creating an urban oasis that provides a peaceful retreat. Architectural harmony with existing modern design elements will bridge old and new motifs.
