Receiving and processing 1080p HDMI audio and video on the Artix 7 FPGA
Hello,
I have successfully ported the design to a ZYBO-Z7 board. However, I am not sure if everything works same as in an original design. I tried different sources like: GoPro Hero 4 camera, SJCAM camera, NVIDIA graphics card output, Display Link extension port, lenkeng lkv373a HDMI extender.
Design works only with lkv373a and NVIDIA graphics card.
Have anyone tried different sources on Artix FPGA? I am just not sure whether it is a problem with implementation on ZYNQ platform or the design.
Because I'm too stupid to create a pull request, I post this as an issue:
My Vivado editor complains that line 134 in "tmds_decoder.vhd" is a duplicate of the previous line 133:
when x"B5" => terc4_valid <= '1'; terc4 <= "1011"; -- "1011000110" TERC4 1011
I'm just wondering if you happen to have schematics of this project you might be willing to share?
I'm looking at a project to convert the 12bit RGB pixel bus of the original xbox console to HDMI.
I would like to overlay a boarder on the image so it could be used with a sinden light gun or as such on modern displays.
hi
Thanks primarily for source code
I want to do the application you made on zedboard. Of course I will change the XDC file.
Is this possible?
Thanks in advance
Dear Mr. Mike Field,
I am really interested in this project for my Master thesis. I would like t hear your advice on receiving 4K HDMI input : Can the Artix-7 handle the 4K HDMI input or should one use another more performance FPGA such as Kintex 7 for example, please ?
Thanks very much in advance and look forward to hearing you.
Khang.
Hi,
the code works really fine and it's faster than other IP to lock the input signal, the only strange thing I see is that the first pixel column is missing, with an input 1280x720p60, the output is a 1279x720p60, same thing with a 1920x1080p60 the output is 1919x1080p60. I'm trying to debug that behaviour
Regards
Hi! Thanks you.
I found you did not use GTP IOs. Are the general IOs fast enough for 1080p@60Hz RGB4:4:4?
