By using a dataset, you are setting a single long line that goes back and forth between Values and Summary.
This line can have a single color.
Here is how to set individual lines which are later easily colored with a palette.
set.seed(222)
.data = tibble::tibble(Values = rnorm(10), Summary = .5)
d <- tidyr::pivot_longer(.data, cols = c(Values, Summary), names_to = "x", values_to = "y")
palet <- c(
"#9E0142",
"#D53E4F",
"#F46D43",
"#FDAE61",
"#FEE08B",
"#E6F598",
"#ABDDA4",
"#66C2A5",
"#3288BD",
"#5E4FA2")
# set lines with just 2(from-to) points
series <- list()
for(i in seq(1, nrow(d), by=2)) {
tmp <- list(
type= 'line',
data= list(list(d[i, ]$x, d[i, ]$y),
list(d[i+1,]$x, d[i+1,]$y))
)
series <- append(series, list(tmp))
}
echarty::ec.init(
color= palet, height= "250px",
xAxis= list(type='category'),
series= series
)
