Hi,

generally, for compiling the servercode, you will have to run go install inside the src directory.
Unfortunately, since the install routine uses absolute directories, you will have to

  • run go install from inside $HOME/go/src/github.com/Zamiell/hanabi-live/src, i.e. extract go.zip directly to your $HOME folder and apply changes there.

If that does not work, check if you

  • are able to setup and start the server as is and run a default game by running python3 ./gui/client.py from within the hanabi directory.

Note that the server wants to run on port 80, so if you get an error, check (e.g. 'sudo fuser -v 80/tcp) if it can.
Let me know if that helped.

Edit: Out of curiosity, what do you intend to use the GUI for?
