To close this issue, it should later be split into separate ones, each tracking the progress of each new issue.

README badge for HERMES users

We should provide users with a bagde that they can use in their README to advertise HERMES.

The easiest option would be to go with something like shields.io. Here are some examples using the HERMES colors:

InvenioRDM MVP issues

During the Jour Fixe on 2022-10-12, we discussed that these issues should be fixed in Dataverse towards an MVP. May be split into separate issues to track progress for single issues.

• DataCite + custom fields support (configurable per instance)
  • custom fields will need mapping
• "Extended schema for software records"
  • RODARE as state of the art case (full suport for above/HERMES output)
  • Upstream RODARE -> Zenodo

Hexagonal stickers that people can put on their laptops to advertise HERMES

Create training materials

Create training materials for use in, e.g., HIFIS courses (probably best suited for this one).

Materials should be based on the Carpentries, and should probably be a condensed version of the tutorial (see hermes-hmc/hermes#38).

Add executive summary of implementation

I think it would be helpful for visitors of the website to be able to get a brief glimpse at the concept cum implementation of the project. Adding a brief description (slides boiled down) with the respective images would be helpful IMHO.

Opinion paper: when is a repository "research software ready"?

Based on talk from DCM2022, we should write a paper about what criteria should be met to name a repository / repository software "research software ready".

This links to re3data metadata stating "code" or "software" support - what does that even mean?
