Unity poser idea:

  • Code Name: Clumsy Copper
  • Software based, but it will need a GPU capable of running modern AIs, so most likely an NVidia GPU. It will also use ZMQ to transfer data between programs like Unity and Python, to allow a Python AI to control a Unity simulated robot, or a VR game character (So, a really good CPU is also required for transferring data).
  • Should be a new project withing HoboVR-Labs

Lets make it a rule to add new poser ideas here in form of comments, before we implement them.
Then open separate feature requests for each poser to track progress, and update the list here accordingly.

E.g. before the idea got implemented:

HadesVR based poser idea:

  • Code name: Erebus
  • Using HadesVR hardware make a clean poser example, hopefully leveraging all hardware and software features available to us.
  • Should be a new project within HoboVR-Labs

Poser adding a treadmill device for VR locomotion idea:

  • Code name: Lilac
  • Using WII BALANCE BOARD for hardware, more details can be found in #13
