padswitcher64's Issues

Where can you buy one of these?

Sorry,

not really an issue - where can you buy one of these - seen it on Adrians Channel and looks interesting!

cheers

PadSwitcher64 C64 software doesn't appear to work on NTSC machines

Running the PRG, it asks to hit start and select on the control pad. When I do this, there is a slight flash on the screen and then a few seconds later it says "Communication Timeout with the interface!"

PadSiwtcher64 does work fine otherwise -- and pressing the button on joystick 2 enters a regular test screen and all the functions are working properly.

Is there anything I can do to troubleshoot?

Wierd problem when trying to build one

Does the picture on front page match the current design (as 100uF seems to be wrong way there)?

What might be wrong that when I switch power on when this device is attacted, then keyboard stops working. (And there is no light on led). Just wondering what would be most common error when building this? I flashed the atmega88 with tl866 with CKDIV8 unticked.

Sorry this is not related, JCOM-SPC Inquery

@Hojo-Norem Sorry for making an issue event though this has nothing to do with this repository. I was trying to get the source for JCOM-SPC but all of my googling resulted in nothing. I noticed that on the Wayback copy of your old site http://jcom.shorturl.com/ said you were going to bring your projects over here but it seems like JCOM-SPC did not make the transmission. Is there any chance of making a repository for it here so its easy to access? Thanks in advance, and again I'm very sorry for resorting to this.

Programming

Should I be able to program the atmega88 soldered right on the board with the ISP pins? I've tried multiple times with 2 different programmers and have no luck.

I keep getting "chip enable program error" and "stk500_getsync()..."

Maybe I have a dead chip.

Fuse settings for Atmega88

Hello there.
Probably a silly question but what are the fuse settings for this project? I use avrdude and normally provide fuse settings when programming.
Thanks

LED blinking and C64's does not work when plug in the PadSwitcher

Hi,

I just assembled one. Flashed the firmware to the ATMEGA88A successfully. Checked everything thrice. Plug in the adapter. The LED blinks for a couple seconds. My C64's keyboard does not work when the adapter is plugged in. Unplug it and my C64's keyboard works fine. Strange!

Thanks for any tips.
