MySQL Setup:

If you don't have MySQL get it first:

ON LINUX:
sudo apt-get install mysql-server
sudo apt-get install python-mysqldb

ON MAC (if you have homebrew, if you don't get it then:)
brew install mysql
-follow additional steps if necessary based on output of brewinstall or (find hongxia or arpan)

Type "which mysql" to make sure its installed

to start console type "mysql"

to start mysql server before you can type mysql type:

mysql.server start

Open mysql console and RUN:
--------------------
> CREATE DATABASE sleepdb;
> CREATE USER 'sleepdev'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY 'sleepdev';
> GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON sleepdb.* TO 'sleepdev'@'localhost';
> FLUSH PRIVILEGES;

To check if its working RUN:

python manage.py syncdb

-- Follow all instructions there to create user

python manage.py runserver 8080 to start the console
