tasks's Introduction
tasks's People
tasks's Issues
In content analysis we can also analyse content of a page and see if the content is worth spending time on or not. Probably even see where the links are going from that page and if they are useful or just ads etc.
Task-wise bookmarks?
Create new task with shortcut. A popup should open on pressing a shortcut (probably cmd+N) where you enter the name of the task and press return to create a task.
Bookmark issues
- Bookmarks within folders not saved.
- Bookmarks from "creator" task is being added to a new task.
Add a settings page which helps in testing/using.
Remove unnecessary logging. It might be affecting the browsing experience.
Weird message when task is created from Tasks page.
When you click on a link on any page all task icons should appear and the user should be able to drag the link to any of those tasks.
Stealing ideas from GitHub— Save snapshot (commit) so that task history is stored and the user can understand the progress of a task. We can even set goals for a task.
Cache webpages and keep them loaded
Open a task in new window feature
Personal data visualisations — How many messages have I sent, how many people have I messaged etc.
Passwords protected tasks.
Cancel button while renaming
Fix navbar links. Make navbar consistent.
Add "Pause", "Search" buttons with Like button.
Search should work on pressing return/enter.
Add shadow to like button.
Enable "Add to task" in context menu.
Like button on stackoverflow in not visible. On github the button size is not right.
Is restoring scroll position required?
Add list of task-suggestion-free websites on settings page.
Delete or backup on drive and remove from hard disk all files related to a task once the task is archived.
Better interface for longer task names
Different downloads folder for different tasks
Create task should work on pressing 'return'
What should happen if the user enters an already existing task name?
Strikethrough broken links
Highlight the task if it is already open in the popup.
Deadlines, goals and subgoals for tasks.
Undo option after delete
Highlight the tab if a URL is open on hovering on a link
Closing browser and opening - default setting overrides the open tabs
Let's say I have a task named "CS499" open with 10 tabs open. And this is my only chrome window open and I close it.
My default setting is to not open any website. So when I open the browser again, it opens with "CS499" task but none of the tabs open (due to my default setting). This deletes all the opened sites from "CS499". Same issue when I open a new window (command-n) and close the previous window.
Task-wise history
like is in the right corner on stack-exchange pages.
Add cmd+T shortcut which opens Tasks page in new tab.
Add cmd+s shortcut to open search page.
Clicking on any link should show 4-5 suggested tasks and dragging the link onto a task should put that link in that task
Make like button draggable. It is easy to do using jquery.
Task related statistics
- Time spent on a task
Weird behaviour when home page is set
Ask for confirmation before actually deleting a task
Set properties of tabs as they were while switching (active tab, scroll position, pinned)
Cmd+L is already assigned on Mac and it is quite useful. Need to think of a better shortcut.
Currently active or completed tasks. Completed tasks should be displayed in a separate section like 'archive'
Highlight currently open task
Doing a search on all open tabs
Having history for each task differently will be useful?
Current Task Deleted
If current task is deleted, what should be the new current task?
can't delete tasks on homepage
