Consider pretzel for 'shop=bakery'

+1 ... and then of course cookies, bagel, baguette and all, too!
.. seriously, though, I warmly second preztel as the main (and only) bakery icon

Maybe it's because I'm French, but I really don't find the "pretzel" a good choice for "bakery" ;)

My opinion is this is a OSM bad old choice, and I would prefer take the occasion to revisit this.

If the bread is not working, others options to consider are: wheat, slice of bread, croissant maybe.

And at the end, if nothing works, I will go on the pretzel, I promise, but first let me do some more tries, please :)

These are pretty much exactly what the most traditional bakery logos in
Finland look like.

But quite frankly I don't care much what it is -- except that the bread I
saw in Limonde reminded me more of an air-raid shelter or ammunition
storage warehouse (dug into rock).

I think croissant could be a good base for an icon. .. Baguette(s) could be
unclear -- or mistaken for dildo(s)?
