totk-mods-collection's Issues

Disable Dynamic Resolution causes crash after loading save file (Steam Deck)

I'm on a steam deck (stable channel for OS and client), with TOTK 1.1.1 and 1.5.5 mods collection. Enabling the "Disable Dynamic resolution when low FPS" mod causes Yuzu to freeze then crash when the save file finishes loading but before it actually gets in game (the Zelda logo loading bar fills, then it completely freezes and yuzu closes a while later) I was mistaken, it freezes right after the loading screen opens. It varies, sometimes it crashes at the beginning of the loading screen, sometimes at the end right before the fade, and very rarely it reaches in game before freezing and crashing.

I've tried on mainline 1436, 1439, and EA 3499. Exact same crash behavior in all of them. It crashes even if the dynamic resolution disabler is the only enabled mod.

EDIT: corrected info about when precisely the freeze/crash happens.

Flickering (Visual bug)

Hasn't happened in a shrine so far and only in the open world. This bug happens more frequently in snowy sections than grassy ones but happens nonetheless.

Is there a mod that "overlap" or have conflicts ?

Sweetmini 1008p crashes yuzu when opening TOTK properties

It seems to be caused by the long folder name, as I've changed it to something shorter and it fixed the crash,
For example, I changed it to 1.1.2, 1.1.1, 1.1.0 - Resolution - Sweetmini 1008p - FXAA Off - FSR and DynRes Disabled - Zero AO Bugs

"Potato Patch" should be called something else

When people see "potato" they think it's a patch that downgrades visuals to increase performance on lower end machines. These mods exist for many games with this naming scheme. That's really not what they're doing here though -- should be renamed to cut down on confusion.

Maybe "lazy patch" or something similar?

Cutscene fix 60fps

Thank you for creating this repo , can u add a 60 fps cutscene fix also

I don't know how to download it....

Could someone please tell me what to download and how? I'm trying to download the infinite amiibo, "Dualsense UI Mod v9 + 60fpsblackscreen..." (these are just what are on the image and the guy told me they were all from here) "DynamicFPSv1.41" "Visual Improvements" and "30fps_stable_static_totk", thanks in advance!

Edit: Nvm, I figured it out, lol

Resolution mod for 1.1.1

Hello can u update the resolution mods for 1.1.1
Also I was using the 720p mod x3 for 4K is that the best method or should I be using the 1008p mod (also time what sorry I'm new to this 😅)

32:9 for 1.1.1

32:9 21:9 etc could do with an update to the new patch ? any news ?

No cheats work for 1.1.1

Title, tested and all the cheats do not work past the update 1.1.0. possible for some updates?

Is this supposed to also work on switch ?

I've been wondering if I can use mods to disable dynamic resolution and try 1008p with some overclocking but so far when trying those I get

A fatal error occurred when running Atmosphère.
Program ID: 010041544d530000
Error Desc: Data Abort (0x101)

Is this supposed to happen or I can run this on a switch and just doing it wrong ?

Can you make separate folders in the mods folder for the different updates so its easy to differentiate?

Whenever the 1.1.1 updated mods start being here could they be moved to a separate 1.1.1 folder, and a folder for 1.1.0 and maybe 1.0.0? I think it would be nice to be able to just see the mods for one update. It would also be nice if the categories like fps, visual, and cheats were in different folders in their respective update folders inside the zip. Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask this, I don't use GitHub much so I don't know how this usually works... Thanks!

Compressed file fails to download

The 7zip compressed file gives a virus warning and fails to finish downloading. Not sure why as the larger zip file works fine and I know it's clean. I think windows can't scan it and decides it's a threat and quarantines it. Something to look in to.

60FPS Potato crashes Yuzu on game start

Using this version: 1.1.0 - Potato Patch - 60 FPS - 1080P 1X scaling

If I comment out the 60fps code, it launches fine. 100% reproducible on my end. Same situation with the UI compatible version.

Duplicate LOD Patch

The patch "Graphics - LOD Patch - We are unsure about it's effect" is just a duplicate snippet from the patch "Graphics - Disable LODs decrease when low FPS"

Mod breaks motion controls

I got a bit confused when my motion controls stopped working, but one mod seems to break my motion controls in yuzu. I deleted the “1.1.1, 1.1.0, 1.0.0 - FPS - FPS++ - Includes improved 60fps, DynamicFPS, Cutscene-fix” mod and now they work fine. When I open the settings menu in yuzu the motion controls work fine, so kinda weird with what's going on there.

Disable FXAA

There was an "exefs" version of disabling FXAA. I noticed it hasn't been updated since v1.1.1 anywhere, and now everywhere offers a "romfs" version that modifies "Bootup.Nin_NX_NVN.pack.zs". Is there a reason why this version is preferred? Does the "exefs" version really not do anything? I don't really prefer one version over the other as long as its working. It just seems to me that if the "exefs" version does actually work, wouldn't that be preferable since it wouldn't have the potential to conflict with other mods?

Below is the last version that updated, it was for TotK v1.1.1.

Longer days mod/cheat?

Wondering how possible it is to make mods/cheats for the day duration? I think default is way too quick. I've had a look through the dump files to see if it was moddable but no luck.

Steam Controller UI

Basically, does anyone know of/know who might/how to make a UI mod for the Steam Controller?

Request: Separate Cheats and Visual Mods

I'm only here for the visual mods and have no interest in cheats. Every package i have to sift through the cheats to remove them.

Can you just package them separately please?

Thanks!

Stop release spam

Don't need several a day for every minor mod update. Move to weekly or absolute max once daily releases.

Use the Releases Function of GitHub

Instead of filling your git repo with zips, create the zips and make releases instead. Makes them easier to find and keeps them out of source control; They shouldn't be in there in the first place. I can help if you'd like.

All combos with 60fps so far locked at 30fps

Sorry I'm sure I'm missing something and not sure where else to reach out. I've been successfully using a 60fps mod outside of your mod paks, but every version of 60fps you have provided, including the 1.4.4 update with
image
is just locked at 30fps for me. I have vsync off, and I know I can get 60 fps. Any clues as to why these just don't work vs others?

I am on zelda update 1.1.0 btw.

FPS++ 60 fps issue

When I enable the FPS++ 60 fps mod the game runs too fast when I move through the tabs in menus. Instead of that I prefer using 60 fps v4 + cutscene fix + DynamicFPS 1.42 (which don't have this bug). The problem is the combo mod that includes these 3 mods is not compatible with the last update 1.1.1 (or at least the name says that). Can you make this combo mod (60 fps v4 + cutscene fix + DynamicFPS 1.42) compatible with the update 1.1.1?

Thanks, I really appreciate the job you're doing.

Does the 1080p mod only break ambient occlusion when scaling is above 1x?

Hi, I noticed that the 1080p code for the potato patch is the same as the 1080p code in the standalone "1.1.0 - Resolution - 1080p - break Ambient Occlusion but 5 more FPS" mod.
Does this mean that the Ambient occlusion is only broken if the scaling is above 1x? If so, then the folder should be renamed.
