Vaiyyākaraṇa is a telegram bot that offers various tools for a Sanskrit learner including stem (प्रातिपदिकम्) finder, root (धातुः) finder, declension (सुबन्ताः) generator, conjugation (तिङन्ताः) generator, and compound word (सन्धिसमासौ) splitter.

Installation

Usage

• /help or साहाय्य

  Help manual. Displays commands available at glance

• /setscheme or लेखनविधि

  Displays available input translieration schemes (देवनागरी - default, Harvard-Kyoto, Velthuis, ITRANS) to select from.

• /dhatu verb or धातु <धातुः धातुरूपम् वा>

  Search for a root or a conjugated verb to find its root or to display its conjugation tables.

  Eg: /dhatu अगच्छत्

• /shabda word or शब्द <शब्दः शब्दरूपम् वा>

  Search for a stem or an inflected word to find its stem or to display its inflection table.

  Eg: /shabda रामस्य

• /vigraha sentence or words or विग्रह <वाक्यम् शब्दाः वा>

  Split given word(s) into their constituent words whether they may be in sandhi or samāsa.

  Eg: /vigraha महर्षिः

Remember Transliteration Scheme

Currently, it is stored in memory, causing it to reset every restart of bot.

[BUG] For long text, buttons dont show up automatically

Additionally, perhaps we shouldn't be showing buttons that are not applicable.
e.g. when several words, don't show Options for subanta, tiGanta

Change विग्रह to विच्छेद or विश्लेषण

As suggested by Dr. Pavankumar Satuluri at WSC, replace current command विग्रह by विच्छेद or विश्लेषण since विग्रह actually has a different meaning.

Deprecate विग्रह while keeping it still usable for a while.

Sandhi-Samasa split for longer text

Currently, longer length is not split correctly (due to the limit of 128 characters present in SSCS).

Use folding/unfolding of input to support larger text.

Reduce hardcoding of Sanskrit values

Separate out in constants.py

Formatting of output when displaying verb or word forms

Currently, the output format is not clean, especially when viewing on mobile.

This is due to Devanagari fonts not being monospace.
One possible solution is suggested by @vipranarayan14 is to generate image of the output and then send that to user as output.
