One of the more useful scenarios for this plugin is dialing in arbitrary and hard to identify pixel values from a mockup (for example, how many pixels are between two complex curves that don't have clearly delineated bounding boxes). To do so, it would be really nice to be able to inspect and interact with the underlying site without hiding the overlay.
It seems like this would be as simple as adding pointer-events: none; to the overlay image.
I'm observing a constant CPU usage of 2-3% in Chrome's Task Manager, even though the extension is not actively used. Which seems abnormally high, given that CPU usage of other Chrome extensions seems to be in the range 0.1-0.5% (on a Macbook Pro 2015).
In January next year Chrome will disable extensions that are written for Manifest version 2.
Are there any plans to update this extension for Manifest version 3?
