But Multifox was so wonderfully simple to use. And yea the middle-click feature was awesome and super convenient.

If you're still looking for a way to open "new profiles" with middle mouse clicks then you might be interested in the Temporary Containers Add-on I wrote based on the native Firefox container feature.

What I'd like is this feature that the old Multifox had: (1) My current tab is on, say, Gmail.com. (2) I click once on the Multi-Account Containers button and a menu of profiles drop down. (3) Now I can middle-click in rapid succession all my different profiles and multiple new tabs will be open, all at Gmail.com, each in a different profile that I middle-clicked.

I don't think Multi-Account Containers itself will provide that feature because of concerns about moving between containers.

However it might be worth looking into providing a Pull request to Switch Container since that Add-on already has a Toolbar Icon Popup with list of containers that you can switch to on regular left click. Giving it the ability to open the current website in new tabs seems like a natural fit. If I get around to send a Pull request I'll let you know.

The author of Switch Container denied the Merge request. I've forked it as Switch Container Plus and you can use middle mouse clicks on containers with it to achieve your desired workflow. Hope you like it.
