Local AWS Pinpoint Analytics service for Chassis

Local AWS Analytics

This extension sets up two minimal services, one for Cognito and one for Pinpoint to allow you to test Pinpoint analytics locally.

It is based on the humanmade/local-cognito and humanmade/local-pinpoint docker images.

The plugin for using AWS analytics with WordPress is humanmade/analytics.

Cognito

The Cognito service runs at http://vagrant.local:33670 unless you have modified your hosts.

Supported endpoints are:

• GetId
• GetCredentialsForId

Pinpoint

The Cognito service runs at http://vagrant.local:33671 unless you have modified your hosts.

Supported endpoints are:

• UpdateEndpoint
• PutEvents

chassis_aws_analytics's Issues

Rename extension to chassis_aws_analytics

Per some ongoing changes in Chassis to upgrade the project to use the Ubuntu 18.04 LTS release, core Chassis extensions have been renamed to use underscores in their names instead of dashes. This extension should be similarly upgraded.

Note: Once this change is made, dependent project like humanmade/platform-chassis-extension should be updated to refer to the new repository name to avoid provisioning errors.

Template paths are outdated

Looking at cogito.service and pinpoint.service in the templates folder, I see outdated paths with the dashes instead of underscores:

• WorkingDirectory=/vagrant/extensions/chassis-aws-analytics/local-cognito/
• WorkingDirectory=/vagrant/extensions/chassis-aws-analytics/local-pinpoint/

I assume we should update these in light of #4

Use node to run services directly

We could submodule in the local-cognito and local-pinpoint repos and run those services via node directly. This means we can drop the docker requirement but we'll need to ensure we can set the ports for the services appropriately first.

Error on initial provision

Error: Could not find template 'chassis-aws-analytics/cognito.service' at /vagrant/extensions/chassis_aws_analytics/modules/chassis_aws_analytics/manifests/analytics_service.pp:27 on node my-project.local

Update this extension for Bionic Beaver

I heard from a Human Made employee that this extension doesn't work with the Bionic Beaver updates as it gives this error:

Error: Evaluation Error: Error while evaluating a Resource Statement, Unknown resource type: 'analytics_service' (file: /vagrant/extensions/chassis_aws_analytics/modules/chassis_aws_analytics/manifests/init.pp, line: 17, column: 2) on node standard-chartered-nr.local

I haven't used the extension but I'll do a PR with a fix for it.
