ReactPlus!

ReactPlus! is a libre theme collection modeled after the Microsoft Plus! series of software and designed with ReactOS in mind.

For using ReacPlus assets on Linux, visit the ReacPlusYaru project.

Contents

ReactPlus! doesn't currently use visual styles, and conforms to the Windows Theme File Format up to Windows XP.

❌ denotes missing feature, pull requests welcome (see "Contributing" section bellow). Tango assets are used as placeholders for wallpapers and icons.

It should be noted that the Space theme includes support for slideshows, but is commented out, as it's intended to be for testing purposes should ReactOS implement it.

• Retro (same colors and metrics as the Windows 95/98 default theme)
• Classic (same colors and metrics as the Windows XP classic theme)

Contributing

Contributions, bug reports, forks and pull requests welcome! The general goals of this project are:

Short-term goals

• Implement missing wallpapers and improve current selection if needed;
• Document Microsoft Plus! themes that serve as inspiration for ReactPlus! to become design guidelines.

Mid-term goals

• Implement documentation as a wiki and also include reference colors, fonts and metrics;

• Create a branch using variations of the ReactOS Lautus visual style;

• Design and code missing screensavers;

• Design and code a Plus!98 style theme manager with additional support for XP visual styles.

• Create a branch compatible with Windows 7 and 10, using Aero.

This project has mixed licensing. You are free to copy, redistribute and/or modify aspects of this work under the terms of each license accordingly (unless otherwise specified).

Included *.theme files are free software licensed under the terms of the Lesser GNU General Public License, version 3.

The Tango/Tango Industrial/Tango Gnome/Tangerine icons were compiled by Vertigosity and have the following licenses:

1. The Tango icon library was created by the Tango Desktop Project and is released under the Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike 2.5 license.

2. The Industrial iconset was created by Jakub "Jimmac" Steiner for Novell/SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10, and is released under the same license as base Tango.

3. Gnome-Icon-Theme 2 was created by the Gnome Desktop Project and is released under the GNU General Public license.

4. The Tangerine icon set was created by the Ubuntu Art Team and is assumed to be released under the same license as base Tango.

The Ubuntu and Ubuntu Studio wallpapers are licensed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 2.5 License.

The Tango Dev Wallpaper by Dindin Hernawan (includes .svg , .png and .jpg files) is licensed under the terms of the GNU General Public License, version 3.

The Dangerous Creatures wallpaper, Ms. Cougar, by Steve Jurvetson, is released under the Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike 2 license.

The Space theme wallpapers are in the public domain because they were created by NASA and/or ESA.
