Your benchmark is incorrect!

near line 64 of log_benchmark.go:

func BenchmarkGoLog(N int64) {
    var i int64
    //golog.SetLevel(golog.LEVEL_ERROR)
    for i = 0; i < N; i++ {
        golog.Debug("hello %v %v", "abc", "def")
    }
} 

It actually wrote NOTHING as your default log level is LEVEL_NOTICE!

It should be modified as below:

func BenchmarkGoLog(N int64) {
    var i int64
    golog.SetFile("/dev/null") // open the null file
    golog.SetLevel(golog.LEVEL_DEBUG) // set log level to debug
    for i = 0; i < N; i++ {
        golog.Debug("hello %v %v", "abc", "def")
    }
}

Then, the correct benchmark result, on my macbook air, would be:

$ go run benchmark/log_benchmark.go
qps of     dummy1: 2538431041, runtime :3.94 s
qps of     dummy2:  931480281, runtime :1.07 s
