IIIF Adopters survey

Can anyone direct me at who are responsible for the (extended) survey? There are a couple questions there of which I need clarification.

add Annotations section

While the Web Annotation work is happening elsewhere these standards and tools are integral to how IIIF works and a great enabler of its interoperability. I would like to consider adding an Annotations section to the list. What are some links that we ought to include to help seed the list?

add BSB to Newspapers section

digiPress2: Ansicht von Der gerade Weg : Illustrierter Sonntag vom Sonntag dem 22. September 1929
Digitalisierte Anzeige: Der gerade Weg : Illustrierter Sonntag vom Sonntag dem 22. September 1929

tip for IIIF hackers: If you remove the last two parts from the manifest identifier, you get a manifest for the complete volume that has OCR information via IIIF annotations

ViewDir gitbook for software components

https://viewdir.github.io/

"ViewDir is a open community of designers and developers interested in creating composable and interoperable interfaces for consuming and creating online content. ViewDir is related to the IIIF project, and this book should fulfill at least a few of the IIIF Software Developers Interest Group goals. However, UI components can and should be designed to work outside of the IIIF context unless there are necessary dependencies. Such an approach aims to broaden the developer community, expand the use of the components, and spread awareness of the IIIF project."

Please add our database

Implementations

SAT Taishōzō Image DB by the SAT Daizōkyō Text Database Committee in the DH initiative, the University of Tokyo adopts IIIF Image API and Presentation API including over 4,000 annotations displayed on Mirador but implements original search functions. (please shorten if it's too long)

Update copyright waiver

From slack:
@zimeon:
4:24 PM @jronallo: on awesome-iiif should you change "To the extent possible under law, Jason Ronallo has waived all copyright and related neighboring rights to this work." to a statement saying that by contributing everyone waives all rights to the extent possible?

e-codices, number of manuscripts available

1,500 --> more than 1,700??
e-codices have added quite a few digital manuscripts to their IIIF collection over the past few weeks (1,749 on this day). Should we wait a bit longer before updating this?

Start a new "CMS Integration" section (?)

This is a just a proposal for a new section dedicated to CMS plugins related to IIIF. Since I had these links in my Github "stars" I thought it might be useful to share (even though you probably know them already) and potentialy add them to the awesome list... But I did not take the time to test them deeply and I am not really aware of their maturity or if they are still actively maintained (I am quite sure it is the case for UniversalViewer4Omeka but I do not know for the two others). That is why I preferred to open an issue instead of submitting a PR, I think these tools need to be reviewed by the curators of awesome 😉. I could submit separate PRs if you estimate they are good candidates.

UniversalViewer4Omeka
Omeka plugin that implements the IIIF APIs (Image and Presentation) and integrates the UniversalViewer into Omeka.

Omeka IIIF Plugin
Omeka plugin that adds support for IIIF APIs into Omeka (IIIF image service used for thumbnails & zoomable viewer, and serves IIIF Presentation API manifests for use in Mirador or other tools).

Mirador Drupal
A Drupal module that integrates the Mirador viewer.
