Hello all,
It is great to see you guys enthusiastic and motivated about these workshops. I hope this happened earlier. Have you guys planned out the schedule for conducting the workshops?
It is always better that you do it as early as possible. If you plan it quickly you can also invite people from outside to give talks (Tech talks).
Also it would be great if you can record them and upload them to the college's server (you will have to request for storage, maybe even on youtube). This will enable people to gain knowledge even if they fail to attend.

Most of our colleagues knows about it but don't use because of the lack of experience and knowledge.So this workshop will be the encouraging session and be getting a start.

Workshop presentations format suggestion

I believe that it will be much more effective if the person giving the presentation can prepare a git repo and commit each lesson of his presentation.

For example: Intro to C:
gf87324: File io
cfea7sa: Scanf and input
2rf87sa: Headers explained
aaf87sa: Hello World

In this a way a person can checkout the particular commit and learn from the source code. This will not be applicable for all the workshops but will serve dual purpose (teaching the subject and also learning git).

Mostly, In our Computer Science culture, everyone is oriented towards the software developement stuff. We would like to do a Workshop on Hardware Programming like how your code controls the hardware and also giving a basic overview of Raspberry pi -it's working . setup and installation.
