placement-flutter's Issues

Revamp app architecture

Revamp the old app architecture as discussed:

• Add riverpod state management.
• Fix the folder structure
• Decrease the over-modularization by bringing related widgets in the same file. (Unless they're share a lot of places or are very big)

Unnecessary library

Library flutter_launcher_icons used for icons is unncessary

Migrate UI to material 3.

Talk with the design team about the process.

Add sentry to app

Sentry helps us keep track of app performance by tracking exceptions raised, logs recorded etc.

Add Github Actions workflows

Workflows for APK generation on commit on the main branch. (Run flutter analyze in a step before)

Add event grouping to the upcoming section in calendar

The grouping should be by today, this week, and so on.

Update README

Replace the current README. (You can use noticeboard's README as a template)

Doeckerize the app

Try to add a way to add the flutter version in the image name. (Hint: Read the output of flutter --version)

Add resume view

To be able to view the resume directly instead of opening it on Chrome. (Use flutter_webview)

Fix search results

On the results page, the by branch/by company search button results work incorrectly

Fix post load text

If you are eligible for placements and no companies are there, "No company is available" should be shown instead of "Not Eligible for any active season"

Accommodate for the domain migration from internet.channeli.in to channeli.in

Do a version upgrade and code migration.

Migrate to latest possible flutter version where null safety has been made compulsory, also do the corresponding code migration.

Integrate use of isolates in the app

Isolates increase efficiency by introducing parallelism over concurrency. We can use isolates for network calls.

Fix apply dialog box

The button in the confirmation dialog box while applying for a company (Confirmation for resume selection) has text (“OK”) missing.

Update login page

Change the login page UI to a similar design to the current noticeboard.

Add docstrings

Long-term issue, will be closed when an acceptable level of docstrings have been added to the codebase.
