Pause all youtube players when current one is playing is not working.

This feature, which is the reason I installed this add-on has not been working for me in a month. I assumed it had to do with youtube updating and breaking that feature. Do you plan to update the add-on so the feature would work again?

Autobuffer not working

Brand new to YoutTube control center but it seems to be working. However, I can't get my videos to autobuffer nor can I disable the like buttons. I tried disabling the like buttons just as a visual confirmation that something was not working. ie maybe the video wasn't loading due to poor internet. So autobuffering is the real goal here.

Youtube Center ignores the option "Don't load tabs until selected"

All Youtube tabs are loaded on browser startup, regardless of the option "Don't load tabs until selected". This significantly slows down browser startup. (Fx 33.)

Video playback volume is not working fine

I have set the volume to 20% but whenever a new video starts playing, the volume goes up to 80%. If I click on the addon icon and on the volume controls I can change the volume again, or if I open the addon settings and change the volume it works. But whenever a new video starts playing the volume goes back to 80%. The value I set doesn't change though. It still says 20%, but the video is playing at 80%.

YouTube search bar (title bar)

Hi, I couldn't find a way to email you so I'm going to leave my suggestion here. Can you add an option to remove the search bar. Just a click and BOOM, its gone! Thank you!

Add a way to disable "default" video playback volume

If I change the volume for one video, I want it to stay for the next video. This has caused me to NOT use this add on.

P.S Sorry about the title, I was pretty tired when making this post.

Spelling mistake in addon preferences [UI] Middle click on...

"[UI] Middle click on the toolbar button: Default (do noting)" contains spelling error on the last full word in the default choice. 'noting' should be replaced with 'nothing'.

May not have shown in spell check as 'noting' is a common english word meaning "to write or mark down briefly; make a memorandum of:" (1)
Whereas 'nothing' is defined as "no thing; not anything; naught:" (2)

Autoplay not working.

installed= July 16/2014 @9:20 pm PST
so, i installed this, because youtube updated, so now every updated video is in a playlist which STILL PLAYS IN THE WRONG DIRECTION. ( who watches star wars in the order 6,5,4,3,2,1???)
anyway, the auto video quality works, the pausing when loading the page works, it's the autoplay when the video ends that it broken. i am running Firefox 30, and i have checked that i have no other extensions/plugins that may be interfering with this extension.

i tried enabling LOOP, and adding 4000 seconds, in hope that that would stop it from auto loading, but it does not.
youtube trumps, and starts the next video.
i just don't know what to do.
help?

Feature Suggestion

I would really like to see something like play/next buttons with the button for the popup. Because I'm bad in explaining (also posted something at the addon page) I've made an imagenary underlining:

Just stopped working

I didn't do anything, change any settings, or any of that. I was messing around with Fedora in VirtualBox- that's the only thing I was doing- when YouTube Control center simply stopped working. I restarted my PC, and still had the same problem. All I really want is to disable YouTube videos from automatically playing when the page loads.

I tried installing another Add-on called Flash control, and here's where it gets weird. When I re-load the YouTube video, the little "flash control" icon appears in the middle of the video for a SPLIT SECOND (it's supposed to remain there, preventing the flash content from displaying, until you click on it) but then it vanishes and the video begins playing.

So, it seems like the problem is not with YouTube Control Center but with either YouTube itself, or with my computer. But like I said, I didn't change anything! I wasn't messing with Firefox, internet settings, or any of that when this happened. It just happened on its own.

I'm using Win7 Pro x64 on a PowerSpec B332 desktop and running Pale Moon browser v25.2.1 (a fork of Firefox). Everything is up-to-date & the latest version.

Update: ok, I also use NoScript, and I noticed "Googlevideo.com" wasn't allowed, so I allowed it. Now Flash Control seems to work...but I prefer YouTube Control Center. So I disabled Flash Control, tried again, and YouTube Control Center still isn't working.

So it seems the issue with Flash Control is entirely unrelated to the issue with YouTube Control.

Update 2: Automatic volume settings aren't working either. However, the "hide toolbar" option is still functioning normally, as are a few other features.

Update 3: I have Lubuntu on my laptop so I tried on that, and everything works fine. Clearly the problem is with my Windows machine, but as I said I didn't change anything so I've no idea what went wrong in Windows. Perhaps one of my other add-ons updated itself and began to interfere. If it'd help I can provide a list of all the other add-ons I'm using.

Update 4: I just loaded a video in a new tab and everything worked the way it's supposed to. Then I refreshed the page and suddenly it was not working again. Also, the only quality options I see on ANY video are 360p and 720p.

Update 5: Suddenly everything is working again. All I did was restart the browser, instead this time instead of loading all the tabs of the old session (there were 549 of them) I only loaded some of them and exited the rest. Previously when I tried restarting the PC and still had the problem, I had restarted the same session as before (in its entirety). So I think it was just Pale Moon browser malfunctioning.

Problems with video description etc

Its a couple of days now that the section under a video (About, Share, Stats etc) is "misbehaving". First of all, the About section, shows nothing. Really, nothing. When I disable the add-on it is working fine. In addition to that, the other buttons, seem unresponsive and it takes some time after pressing "Share" to actually display the corresponding menu.

I have been using this extension for a long time and was perfectly satisfied, but I'm looking towards other solutions (or towards the inconvenience the stock Youtube offers) since that problem occured.

Any solutions?

Circumstances when preferences don't apply

I have Autoplay and Autobuffer turned off. When left-clicking to normal video pages, this seems to work. However, if I open a YouTube link in a new tab, these are ignored--it will start playing automatically.

The rules also seem to have no effect on anything that isn't a standard YouTube video page. Videos embedded on pages will still autoplay, both on external sites and channel sites at YouTube.com itself.

The Search Bar on Player doesnot work

The Search Bar on the player pop-up doesn't work. It doesn't even search the history, let alone youtube, as if it is inactive. Please have a look at it and let me know, if I am doing something wrong.

Functionality Enhancements.

1)I wish Youtube center didn't load tabs into the player if the option "don't load tabs until selected" is active.
Marking them to not play in the beginning is different as it makes firefox slower to load,potentially. But also because you either need to force them to not play, and loose playlist functionality, or just leave that off (and if you have multiple youtube tabs open they will all play at once on load)

It also will unclutter the youtube center playlist.

2. there should also perhaps be a setting to only stop loading the first video of a playlist. If you start a playlist after that it should let the playlist complete

3. An option to not have history at all,not even in the current session. I only would like video's that are currently in the player.

4. keyboard shortcut (customizable?) to play/pause the last active video.

Other then these small nibbles I have I quite like Youtube control center. It needs just a few more settings to make it easier to interact with and to respect some settings the user has made. Great work!

Option to disable AutoPlay playlist button

YouTube have decided to put in an incredibly annoying "AutoPlay" feature for playlists - when you start any video in a playlist, AutoPlay is highlighted and when the video finishes, the playlist will move on to the next video. You can click on it to turn it off, but when you move away from the playlist and back again, it will be turned back on! As far as I can tell there is no way to stop AutoPlay coming back on. Please could you add a feature to keep AutoPlay off?

Video list not updating

It seems the list of videos won't update after I go onto another video. I thought clearing the log would help though it didn't.

Youtube search bar vanishes when YCC is active.

As stated in the title, when I turn YCC on, Youtube search bar goes missing, and the rest of the page is pulled up. Turning YCC off solves the issue. Additionally, some YCC options don't have their descriptions, so it's impossible to tell what you're turning on/off. Anyone having the same problem? Hope someone can help, thank you.

"Add to" under video not responsive anymore

Hi,

I noted that after installing YouTube Control Center 0., the "Add to" (and also the "Share") option under a video had become unresponsive.
Disabling the extension immediately rectified, enabling again immediately led to the issue again.
Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit; Firefox 30.0

Maybe it can be verified, and if a valid issue, perhaps even rectified.

videos back to autoplay...

as of a few days ago all videos are back to default autoplay.
your icon is also missing from the Customize "Additional Tools and Features" list/menu.

Options not visible

when trying to access the options menu, the tick boxes and drop downs are there but none of the labels to state what is what.

Autoplay and autobuffer options not working.

Hello, I'm running FF 30 with YTCC 0.3.1 on Mac OS X 10.9.4 and the options I most want to use it for, to stop autoplay and autobuffering, are not working. I use the HTML5 player. Here's a pic of my settings because I'm lazy to type them all out...

firefox add-on not downloading/installing

The firefox addon is not downloading for me. I get the message "downloading add-on" But nothing happens.
If I open the download utton into a seperate tab, I get a message "firefox has blocked this add-on" with a allow button. Of course I tried pressing the allow button, but still not downloading/installing.
This is mobile firefox "android" CM10.1 android 4.2.2

Play button just loads new YouTube tab

Not entirely sure if this counts an issue, but for me it's definitely a problem. Whenever the addon's play button is pressed, a new tab opens into the YouTube homepage, regardless of whether or not a YouTube tab is already opened. If I have video on pause, I would like for it to be actually played.

DASH

I can't find a way to turn off DASH since the update.
If it's removed, I guess I'm done with youtube. I don't see how other people can stand having it buffer every ten seconds.

YouTube videos on other sites

Are the settings for YouTube content supposed to carry over to embedded videos linked in other pages / sites directly from YouTube? Because.. if so, I am not seeing it. I have one addon to play Video's in HD (from YouTube) and I got this add-on to turn off the Annotations in videos. Those are really the only two things I care about.

So I guess my question is does this video work only with the YouTube.com URL or is it supposed to work with any video hosted on YouTube? And what can I do to help troubleshoot, if there is an issue?

Buffering does not complete

The buffering will not buffer to the end of the video. It only buffers halfway or so.
Can it be fixed to buffer completely to the end so that when I want to skip through to near the end
of the video I can do so quickly without having to wait for buffering at the end.

Links that start part way through video don't work

If a link to youtube has a timecode to start part way through, mine just pauses at the start. When I click to play it just plays from the start instead of the offset indicated. Disabling the add-on makes it work again.

Only partially working

I installed the plugin 2 days ago and it didn´t work.

A few things I tested:
-Pre-set quality doesn´t work for sure!
-Playlist autoplay is still insisting on me to be enabled.
-Volume isn´t what I preset.
-Pre-load buffer isn´t loading.

Only thing working is the disabled autoplay when opening a video.

I run WIN7 Professional, and Firefox. Everything (including Flash and Java) are up-to-date.

Replace levels[0] with 'default'.
levels[0] means highest available quality.

Subtitle and watch later missing after Auto pause enabled

These icon will be disappeared as shown on picture. Is there a way to show them again without disable the addon or a way to disable the addon quickly temporary?

Automatically play next video from playlist is broken

I've tested this feature in both FireFox 39.0 and Pale Moon 25.5 using the latest Adobe Flash Player (18.0.0.203) and the feature does not prevent the next video from loading upon playback completion.

This feature is working flawlessly in the standalone add-on "NextVid Stopper for Youtube".

Firefox 24 ESR support

Due to the Mozilla EME and CEO issue I have switched to Pale Moon, which runs its independent development cycle and is currently based on FF 24 ESR.
Could you get this plugin to work with FF 24 ESR so that I can install and run it on Pale Moon?

Impressive with a few quirks

Firefox version: 38.0.1

The extension build is solid, and it works very well. Here are a few quirks that I encountered while fiddling with the extension settings (all other settings work as expected):

--- Autobuffer video even if player is not playing ---
Does not work. I am guessing that this has to do with YouTube not permitting your extension to override the buffering rules set by YouTube. Of course, this rationale is understandable because the main goal is to increase efficiency and save bandwidth.

--- Display video views info pane ---
Works well when it is disabled and "Display action buttons pane" is enabled simultaneously. However, when the "Display action buttons pane" is disabled and "Display video views info pane" is enabled, the video views info pane does not appear.
It seems that "Display action buttons pane" overrides the "Display video views info pane" option even though the latter is enabled. Frankly, this does not concern me as I would keep them turned on, but I just wanted to point out the issue if you'd like to fix it.

Disabling the comments and related videos sections now creates a zen zero-distraction viewing experience. For that, I'd just like to show my appreciation and thank you very much for this great add-on.

Playlists Disappearing

My "playlists" section (the one that includes playlists, favorites, and liked videos) from the youtube dropdown menu disappears when I have this add-on enabled, and I don't see an option to revert this in the add-on options.

Show video controls on player not appear on Fullscreen

I have "Show video controls on player" checked and the video controls appear in Normal Mode, and Theater Mode, but not in Fullscreen and I would like it in fullscreen ALSO.
So if others usually don't want it to show in Fullscreen then could you please add a second Option for Fullscreen?

Media Control Center Addon for firefox has bug with Google maps

Firefox 28.0, Windows 7, Media Control Center 0.1

with addon enabled, google maps does not search after putting value in search box and pressing enter or clicking search button.

When I disable MCC in firefox addons, then google maps searches just fine. I also went through all my other addons enabled, disabled combinations and only disabling MCC does google maps search.

I love your addon and will choose it over google maps searching, however I'd love you to fix it.

Removing add-on

I installed this add-on and now none of the YouTube videos will work. Cannot make any of them play at all. I removed this add-on and YouTube is still broken. Does it leave bits behind that have to manually removed in about:config?

Default playback speed

Please, add option for default playback speed changing.

Button/shortcut to disable/enable autopause (at least during playlist playback)?

Would be very handy to have some quick way to toggle the autopause of videos so that when one is playing a playlist, the videos continue to play instead of the need to enable each one after another.

Cinema Mode is faulty

When video comments and suggestions panes are disabled, the "Cinema mode" button - just left of the "Full screen" button - behaves strangely when clicked in a sense that the video itself resizes, but the control panel of the video does not resize.

Video is black after 6/22 update

It was working great before that update, but the videos are just a black screen now if the add-on is enabled in Firefox 38.0.5 on Win 8.1. If I disable the add-on, I can watch videos. All other aspects seem to work and I can even hear audio and see the preview thumbnails when hovering over the timeline. I just can't actually see the video.
