Cannot build exe on Windows 11

image
This is the output of my attempt to build the program, and I am not sure if the code needs to be changed or if I'm using an incorrect version of MinGW or something like that.

Flashing M for "million" in resistance mode

As noted on Louis Rossmann's stream, the "M" before the "ohm" character flashes on and off in the cases of high resistance.

I do not know if this is when using the command line version or the win32 version.

It is currently unknown if a similar problem exists for other unit prefixes as I do not own the hardware to test and debug.

-fpermissive shouldn't be needed anymore, I think

# -fpermissive is needed to stop the warnings about casting stoppping the build

In my makefile, I removed -fpermissive and it compiles with 0 errors and 0 warnings. I added the type casts to suppress the warnings. Do you still get warnings compiling from 'nix without -fpermissive?

Error

hi,
i keep getting an error message that says"Error! -port \.\COM# cant be opened".
i tried all the COM numbers and it doesnt open any of them. i have the software that came with the meter and its reading it on COM3, so im not sure whats causing it to give that error. i had it working yesterday but it stopped
Thanks!

Compilation in Windows

I'm trying to use mingw to make in windows as requested. Have you tried building this in windows yet? I am getting a few errors. I think the makefile might need a few tweaks. Although, perhaps I just need more optional libraries. Will work on it in the meanwhile.
