Apple (but perhaps also Windows and Android) icons

Going by what I can read in the legal stuff on the Apple site, I'm wondering if the inclusion of the Apple logo (and possible the Windows logo and Android logo) in the ionicons is entirely legal?

I'm talking about stuff like http://www.apple.com/legal/intellectual-property/guidelinesfor3rdparties.html , particularly the stuff under "Unauthorized Use of Apple Trademarks".

Perhaps someone already looked into this, but it doesn't hurt to double check...

No icon with an arrows in a circle

Really very nice icon set, but there is no icon with a left or right arrow in a circle, these are commonly used icons too. Hope you can add them.

Download icon

If there is an upload icon, then what about a download icon in the same style? :-)

Why is there the 'icon' class?

Is it useful? I know, it is useful for additional styling, but on the websites, there it is also without that class. And in some files of the project it is, somewhere it isn't. I'm confused...

Request: travel modes icons

Hi guys,

your set is great but travel modes icons are missing.

could be nice to have:

• walking guy
• bicycling
• bus
• plane

Add Navigate icon without bounding circle

Linux/BSD icons

To give love to the hackers, we should a Tux icon, maybe the FreeBSD devil.

icon-beaker.svg missing from /src

I can't seem to find the svg file for the beaker icon - am I blind, or is it missing? :)

Excess whitespace

All the icons are padded to the same width, which makes it difficult to control spacing between the icons and other elements. Have you considered cropping the SVGs to get rid of excess whitespace? IMO that would make the icons more flexible.

`.ion-loading-a` needs a different timing function

steps(8, start) would be ideal.

You could add another class for this, maybe .ion-loading-a-eighthsteps or something

Icons don't work in Firefox

Might be a corrupted font format generated from icon moon that firefox doesn't like.

Bower is a package management system, typically used for client-side libraries. It would be convenient if ionicons was registered there for easy pulling of the project.

Same-sized alternatives for 'Circled' icons

First: I really like these icons, and the non-ios7 icons are nicely minimalistic without being dogmatic.

Allt the circled ios7 icons have alternative icons with no circle and the icon itself being the same size. This is useful for mouse-overs like the close tab icon in the Chrome Browser (Windows).
Could the non-ios-7 cicular icons have similar alternative icons. For example for icons like 'ion-close-circled'.

ion-ios7-close-outline does not show

In the latest release the ion-ios7-close-outline icon does not show (I think it was added in 1.4.0). Irrespective of whether I used it as a class or in css content.
The container always has a height of 0.

Is it possible to insert a ionicon in the placeholder of an <input> tag?

Hi all and thanks for this awesome project!
I'm trying to use Ionic and Ionicons to develop a mobile website.
I would to add in the placeholder of an tag, this text: "(ion-ios7-search) Search" (like the search input in Facebook for iOS 7, in the online friend list).
Placeholder can be only a text string, so how could I realize it?

Support for LESS

Failure when trying to install the TrueType font on OS X

Installation (double clicking ionicons.ttf and selecting Install) fails with the following error in the console:

10/31/2013 8:41:51.571 AM Font Book[6324]: ##### ERROR:
    file:///Home/stefan//ionicons/fonts/ionicons.ttf#postscript-name=Ionicons has no family name

I understand installing this font is not the primary use-case, but I do the same with FontAwesome and it is very helpful for prototyping in desktop apps.

Support for LESS & SASS

Sometimes the directory the fonts are located vs. the stylesheet can get mangled depending on the project, especially when being served up by a server & managed in a backend asset management process.

For these cases, support for LESS and/or SASS would be excellent so that a user can manually set the path of the font locations & work worry free.

"Eye with strike through" / "Hide" icon

It might be useful to have an icon similar to the ion-volume-mute for ion-eye.

I could even see a case where it would be useful to be able to do ion-eye disabled and it would overlay the circle + strike on top of any icon - although it wouldn't be worth it if were to end up being a significant contributor to the size of the CSS file.

1.3.4 Animations Off-center

Hi,
In the animations demos, the first 2 are rotating off-center in Chrome (31 Mac) -- possibly a grid-size issue? Proper IcoMoon example

ion-ios7-close-empty does not exist

Add spinning animation on hover of loading icons

Another way we could show our animated icons is by making them spin when a user hovers over them any of them. Just a thought.

PNG variants are missing

I miss PNG variants of new icons in v1.3.7 (like bug, pencil)

I think this repository should be more visible on the front page - I recommend putting a fork button link next to the Twitter buttons that links to this repo.

PNG Version

I have a friend who loves these beautiful icons but is left in the dark since he can only use Png's in Filemaker. I understand how SVG's are the future but If there's any chance someone could make a Png set it would be greatly appreciated! I also understand it's no small job so if there's anyway I can help let me know. Thanks :D

ion-ios7-close-empty icon shows nothing.

When I search for close icons, I noticed the ion-ios7-close-empty icon is really empty, and it can't be found in cheatsheet.html. Something wrong?

Mapping icons

Would be nice to have some mapping related icons, ie:

• draw circle
• draw polygon
• clear points

Photoshop Font for Designers

Hello, I liked of your icons, just noticed that you could improve the way the designer uses the icons in photoshop.

Because there is currently no way to use the icons in photoshop like font.

Preview a color icons

Hi!
I'm new to all of this. My first issue is how to preview the icons, under "src" they are all showed as a webpage ico, and clicking through 350 is impossible.
( I don't know what to do with the fonts folder)

Also it would be nice to have them in color also.

Contains trademarked logos

This font contains a plethora of trademarked logos. I'm pretty sure you can't MIT license the Apple or Windows 8 or Twitter or LinkedIn or Skype or Dropbox logo.

Would really appreciate a cheat sheet on the official site that I can copy icons from then paste them into photoshop / illustrator comps (unless I'm missing a more efficient way to do this).

Request: Game console icons

There's enough activity surrounding platforms like Xbox, Playstation and Steam that icons for those could be justified. They all have flat variations too, which would match the style of the font. Would love to see this!
