Installation

Focalize can be installed from the Chrome Web Store:

Alternatively install from source:

Step 1

Download the latest release and unzip.

Step 2

Enable developer mode in Chrome or Brave.

Step 3

Drag and drop the unzipped folder onto the Extensions page (chrome://extensions), or click "Load unpacked" and select the unzipped project folder.

Build

1. Copy .env.template to create .env and supply missing variables.

2. Run npm build

The /dist folder is the unpacked extension.

[Question] Any reason why I can't connect using metamask?

Need a way to turn off the omnisearch box

While it is certainly useful, if you are constantly searching for developer docs, lens code and the like - the omnisearch bar gets in the way all the time. Just need a simple switch in the options to turn it off.

Feature requests! Add a Firefox extension

A lot of users in the Web3 space use Firefox-based browsers on a daily basis.

Browser address bar hard to use for search because of custom behaviour added by Focalize

Typing in "lens " into browser's address bar triggers search with Focalize mode (searches for Lens handles).

As general search queries related to Lens often start with "lens" (e.g. "lens big query", or "lens docs"), this disturbs the natural flow and annoys users.
