data_1.04_activities's Introduction

API Documentation

We will start our project by first documenting all of the routes and data models for our API. Following best practices we will use verbs to specify the type of operation being done and nouns when naming endpoints.

Routes

Project routes

GET /api/projects (empty) Returns all the projects
POST /api/projects JSON Adds a new project
GET /api/projects/:projectId (empty) Returns the specified project
PUT /api/projects/:projectId JSON Edits the specified project
DELETE /api/projects/:projectId (empty) Deletes the specified project
Task routes

DELETE /api/tasks/:taskId (empty) Deletes the specified task
Auth routes

  description: String,
  tasks: [ { type: Schema.Types.ObjectId, ref: 'Task' } ]
}
Task Model

data_1.04_activities's Issues

activity solution missing

in this lesson 01-lesson_plans/01-unit_pandas_simple_linear_regression/1.04_data_cleaning_pandas/lesson.md
activity 2 solution link seems to be dropped and takes me nowhere

@sandrabosk

instruction unclear

actvity 2 instruction indicates to drop the unwanted columns after reviewing in excel. unclear
i would expect questions along the lines of - should i drop in excel, should i reopen in python and drop there? how do i know i dont want some columns ? acc to what criteria ? is this for the next step of the activity ?

@sandrabosk

unrelated tasks ?

on activity 2 in this lesson it isnt clear how the lambda and excel element are related to eachother ? sorry!

and we had some null management with categorical data from the lesson which isnt applied in the activity

@sandrabosk

instructions incorrect - drop nulls not drop column

current instructions indicate that columns should be dropped, but the solution shows that the data frame is cleaned of null values in those columns. this is in line with the learning points of the lesson at this time where we are learning about null management
