mi-notebook-14-hackintosh's Issues

Request: Add reference to Matebook X Pro 2018 Repository

Hi guys, thank you for contributing to the Mi-Notebook hackintosh community.

Please, try to give proper credit to my work: don't try to cover or delete traces of my request ... It's not honest!

You clearly copied entire pieces of my homepage... so, please, write my nickname properly in your homepage and clearly state that the homepage structure is taken from mine... there is nothing to be ashamed of... it is just a matter of fairness.

In the following there is my first message!

I notice that in your homepage, there are too many similar parts (entire paragraphs!) as profzei's Matebook-X-Pro-2018 repo. The LICENSE for my repo is Apache-2.0 so it would be very nice if you guys can put at least profzei's Matebook-X-Pro-2018 repo in the credits at Readme.md.

Have a great day and keep going!

Sleep not working on Horizon

Sleep is not working, Horizon I5

Putting the laptop manually to sleep via the menu with nothing connected to the USB ports
I have made my own EFI but sleep isn't working in it and seeing that your EFI fixed sleep, I was motivated to shift to yours, Could you tell me what did you do in your EFI to fix sleep?

  • OS: [Big Sur11.4]
  • Device: Mi notebook 14 Horizon I5

Thanks :)

Too much confusion

Bro, there are too many copies of files. There is a four day old config file in config folder, and a 4 hours old EFI in the EFI folder. And, the release version still doesn't work. The EFI folder has a OneDrive link that doesn't work. But the change log says that the EFI has been moved directly in the EFI folder.

It would be nice if everything is more streamlined.

One more thing. I guess the USB map is dependent on the macOS 11 version. For me you latest USB Map doesn't work. It would be nice if it's specified the readme file. Like which version you actually tested the EFI on.

Also, it would be nice if you can provide the steps you followed for USB Mapping. I tried USBInjectAll with and without xhci unsupported kext. The hackintool and USBMap program showed no ports. I removed the RHUB SSDT and tried, USB worked but cameras stopped working.

Keep up with your great work contributing to the Mi Notebook 14 hackintosh community. Once again, thank you for your time and efforts. It would be nice if these issues are fixed.

EFI OC 0.7.1 doesn't boot

Description
I have used your EFI till OC 0.6.9. But when I updated it to 0.7.1. (17 Jul release), in BIOS I can see the boot option. But when I select the UEFI USB drive, it skips the OC menu and boots directly into windows. OC 0.6.9 works well though.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Download the EFI 0.7.1.
  2. Add PlatformInfo (SMBIOS).
  3. Boot.

Expected behavior
Booting to show OC boot picker menu.

Screenshots
Not applicable.

Laptop:

  • Mi Notebook 14 (i5 + iGPU + no dGPU).

USB Ports not working as intended

You have forgot to set XhciPortLimit to False(0). This causes, my USB 3.1 ports to not work. Sometimes, even the camera and webcam doesn't work as intended.

To Reproduce

  1. Connect USB 2.0/3.0/3.1 device on the USB 3.1 ports (left side 2 ports on non-horizon model)

Expected behavior
Drive icon visible on desktop and finder.

Actual behavior
No response from macOS.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • OS: macOS 11.3.1
  • OC: 0.6.9

Laptop: Mi Notebook 14 [Non-Horizon edition]
Intel Core i5 10210U
Intel UHD for 10th gen
8GB DRR4 RAM
256GB SATA SSD
No Nvidia dGPU

Potential fix
Set XhciPortLimit to false in config.plist file.

Other than this issue, most of the stuff works well. Good effort.
