Be able to have all these in the context menu.

But I can open translate.google.cn normally.
I do not need it.

It appears you can set the keyboard combination in the manifest; I don't know if there is a way to do it programmatically.

Firefox is already signed in to the google.com, however in the translation pop-up, I still see the Sign in button. When I click on that button, the page get redirected to https://translate.google.com/m/translate?pli=1 and I can see I'm already signed in.
Refreshing page didn't help as well as restarting the browser.
My FF version is 61.0.2 (64-bit)
My add-on version is 3.3
Previously I recommended a modification of the GPL guidelines which was wrong. Now I've had a fresh look on the actual license.

Would be better if the highlighted text would be translated right in the page and not on a new tab with Google translate.
It would be great to allow auto-detection of the phrase being translated.
Repeating comment on firefox page: "Great extension, worked perfectly with a selection of text, but when I asked for a full-page translation, Google Translate sent me in an endless loop of authentications." You replied: "Hello, can you please post me this on Github with some screenshots and OS, Firefox version information? Thank you". My OS is Linux Mint version 4.15.0-72-generic GNU/Linux. My Firefox version is 71.0 (64-bit). Here, I hope, is a screenshot. When I do the reCaptcha stuff it just cycles back to the same output. Hope this helps! Thanks for developing this.
Weighing the modal window feature #46 against the change in permissions to allow the extension access to everything I browse - I'd like to keep the old permissions and ditch the modal. Judging by the comments at the addon page I might not be the only one. Is there any way users like me can be accommodated? I mean short of forking the extension and creating own addon.
Set default "translate to" to default to browser languages setting as set by user preference.
This is a great extension because is simple, web extensions ready and works on text area.
What is the way for set the translation language to AUTO DETECT?
The selection number words is very limited (only 150/5000) why?
In addition I suggest to add in context menu the option for translate the entire page if nothing is selected.
Thanks.
I am using EPUBReader to read my ebook. But it seems the translate modal doesn't work on this addon.
Would it be possible that the modal works with EPUBReader? Thanks
Hello,
Is there a reason why there are only 150 characters of the selected text is used for the translation?
This makes the plugin less useful.
@itseco Do you have plan to add inline translation (an icon appear when highlight text) and page translation like official Google Translate extension for Chrome ?
Hi! Here is a Chinese user's request.
For some unspeakable reasons, we do not normally use Google Translate under the https://translate.google.com domain in China, but the good news is that we can use https://translate.google.cn this domain, I really like this plugin, but it requires me to use proxies all the time to keep my plugin running.
Can you make some special adjustments for China area?
Sincerely thank you!

Ctrl + Shift + B to translate a text is conflicting with Firefox's "Library window (Bookmarks)" and so it currently doesn't translate any text if you use it.
My suggestion would be to do Ctrl + Shift + Y/F/Q/Z as these are easy to reach, or if you really don't want anything to conflict with it.. do Ctrl + Shift + (number) as there's nothing in Firefox currently using these exact combinations of keys for a shortcut
I live in Singapore. I have the same timezone as China. I'm not a Chinese neither I speak Chinese. But add-on sends me to a Chinese interface version of Google.Translate.
Current automatic domain location is very simplistic. It shows Chinese Google interface to all the people in the timezone of China. This timezone includes many other countries like Russia, Mongolia, Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia, Australia.
Please make domain selection an option in settings instead of current auto-detection.
Could you please add a separate string in the localization files for the context menu entry, so it's localized properly and fits the rest of Firefox.

Thank you.
Please add server translate.google.cn which can access in mainland China. Thank you.
Hello.
i usually translate English to Persian. but also some times i need to translate Persian to English quickly. Can you make this possible? Thanks.
Hello. As the issue title says the pop-up window title stays the default "MSG_extensionName" in the Firefox browser. I suppose it's not intentional. I did have a little chance to take a look at the source code and in the "src/config.js" file at the line 81, the "getLanguages" method is trying to get the default languages from the Chrome Runtime API. I suppose it's causing the bug because chrome namespace is not available in the Firefox.
Here is the locale information that I gathered from the console;
navigator.browserLanguage: undefined
navigator.language: en-US
navigator.userAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:69.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/69.0
I might be wrong, because I've not thoroughly inspected the code, but from what I can understand, this could be the cause.
Hope it helps.
It says in a couple of places 'New BSD', but could you add the text of the license somewhere to make clear? Thank you.
Extension don't open modal window while translating selected text in PDF.
To Google Translate version: 4.0.2
Firefox version: 70.0 (64-bit)
After I selected a piece of text and clicked translate
in the context menu, To Google Translate
popup appears in the center but as you can see in the attached screen capture, every other iframe also displays the same popup.

Hello! Is it possible to use this extension to translate the entire page, like Chrome, but without going to google translate? Thanks in advance!
The url for translate to 'zh-CN' is https://translate.google.com/#en/zh-CN/Hello%20World , and the '-' is not allowed in the Translate Text
and Text to speech
so these languages are not working.

This way users will instantly see translation of selected text in the popup.
Hello. I am using to-google-translate for some time now and I like it a lot. Recently though I've found out that it has shadowed CTRL+SHIFT+V which I use extensively with clipboard manager.
Is there any way to change keyboard shortcuts? To be honest I use the extension from time to time only and would like it the best without using keyboard at all.
Cantonese (Hong Kong spoken Chinese) is one of the supported text-to-speech languages by Google. Its language code is "yue-Hant-HK". However the "Text to Speech" box doesn't allow me to input "yue-Hant-HK" into the box in the settings.
Hi
Is partial compatibility feasible?
Version 4.0.6 can be added to Thunderbird 68.3.0 (64-bit). Preferences appear in Add-ons Manager, not all of which I expect to work, but the most desirable feature seems to not work:
If i go to https://translate.google.com/ my custom css theme is applied properly, but when translating page with this extension, the custom theme just flashes in the popup window and reverts to the default (white) one. So the support is clearly there but something is blocking it.
Google does not offer the Translate Page service in China Mainland.
It will jump to https://translate.google.com.hk, which is not directly accessible in China Mainland.
