Conflict errors with pear1u on Centos 7
Hi, when I try to install pear1u on a Centos 7 machine using "yum install pear1u" I am getting 2 conflict errors (see below)
I have PHP 7.1 installed (PHP71u), but it looks like pear1u wants to install PHP 7.0.25 dependencies. Can I just ignore these errors, or does pear1u not work with PHP 7.1?
Package pear1u is obsoleted by php-pear, trying to install 1:php-pear-1.10.5-2.el7.remi.noarch instead

You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
PEAR security breach
Usage of PEAR is currently broken. http://pear.php.net/ says:
PEAR server is down
A security breach has been found on the http://pear.php.net webserver, with a tainted go-pear.phar discovered. The PEAR website itself has been disabled until a known clean site can be rebuilt. A more detailed announcement will be on the PEAR Blog once it's back online.
If you have downloaded this go-pear.phar in the past six months, you should get a new copy of the same release version from GitHub (pear/pearweb_phars) and compare file hashes. If different, you may have the infected file.
There is no ETA for when the server will be back up.
I believe this only impacts installs performed using go-pear.phar
but wanted to make sure you were aware of the issue in case it has further reaching impacts.

Do I need to use specific version of pear1u with PHP 7.1?
