🚀 Project Structure

Inside of your Astro project, you'll see the following folders and files:

└── package.json

Astro looks for .astro or .md files in the src/pages/ directory. Each page is exposed as a route based on its file name.

There's nothing special about src/components/, but that's where we like to put any Astro/React/Vue/Svelte/Preact components.

Any static assets, like images, can be placed in the public/ directory.

🧞 Commands

All commands are run from the root of the project, from a terminal:

Command	Action
npm install	Installs dependencies
npm run dev	Starts local dev server at localhost:4321
npm run build	Build your production site to ./dist/
npm run preview	Preview your build locally, before deploying
npm run astro ...	Run CLI commands like astro add, astro check
npm run astro -- --help	Get help using the Astro CLI

astro-demo's Issues

astro demo app setup & plan

Hi @honboey,

This is the app I have created for our demo.

Run these commands to get started. (Run locally, there is no codespace).

git clone https://github.com/ixc/astro-demo.git
npm install
npm run dev

It requires a minimum node version of 18, so you'll need to upgrade if you run into that issue (it will tell you)

I have added some features on the main branch just to learn how it all works, I have also created a new branch called terry_play, to save this incase you want to make changes on the main branch (or make a branch of your own). Netlify is only deploying the main branch for now.

Steps to complete demo project:

• build website layout
• style website

It sounds like you already have a bit of a plan for the proposal site, so how about we jump in to a huddle on Monday to nut it out so we can get moving on this.
